    8pm tonight!

Last time we played Chelsea away from home in the league was October 2018 - it ended 2-2. Last time we won a league match at Chelsea was October 2012, ended 2-3. Stamford Bridge is a hard place for United to get results. Of course we won there in a league cup match back in October, so it's not impossible.

Overall, we need this win more than ever. If we lose this match, 4th place is gone. And with Spurs and Arsenal starting to find their feet, losing this one is out of the question.

More so now that it seems likely that the PL will punish City with a points deduction too. We need to keep pace just in case an extra CL place becomes available - I would prefer we fought for 4th, but think of the sweet irony if we manage to get into the CL at City's expense.

It's an odd one, if the PL deduct City points this season it doesn't actually punish them.

They aren't winning the league and they aren't in the CL next season anyway so what's the point?

All it does is award 5th place 4th, which UEFA may well do anyway.

Any points deduction should be next season.

**** 'em, let the house of cards fall.

Or just demote them. Cheating fricken pigs destroyed the league. PSG should be punished as well. This is what I personally do not want oil money owning Manchester United.

I personally would not object to oil money owning the club. I think City have a 'way about them' where the whole 'project' was clothed in corruption from the outset. Were we to sell to oil money I would want to see the majority of the current board stay in place to provide oversight.

But which oil money story isn't clothed in corruption? I don't know of any. From Russian Oligarchs to UAE Royals, they are all inherently largely corrupt.

    Eh?

Why would Saudi Oil money be any different to Abu Dhabi oil money? Genuinely?

Yes, fully get that City would still be a championship/mid table PL team at best without Abu ****ing Dhabi, but it would still be money United have not 'earned', which is the whole premise of FFP.

It would still be a gift, the Saudis would be equally adept at sponsoring corner flags for a billion £ a season.

Really weird team tonight, looks like Williams will be playing Left wing which means James will be wasted over on the right.
No sign of Lingard anywhere, even on the bench so at least that's a good thing.

City surrendered complete control of their club - the 'fans' were only too pleased to accept change at any cost. In complete contrast, we have a heritage, a club culture to live up to and the majority of fans would not stand for the same crap.

Very odd setup. I would have preferred Dalot on the right and James starting on the left.

Like we haven't stood for the Glazers?

Most accept it because they think the Glazers are ploughing money into the club. They aren't.

That makes me think there wouldn't be much of a protest if the Saudis actually do plough money in.

Which will still be ****ing rank money.

Boy o' boy, did we need that win or what? With all the controversies on VAR, one thing is clear.. We scored two clear goals away from home, especially at Chelsea. To win a match, one must first score goals which is what has killed our season. Hopefully Fernandes is the missing piece for better creativity, especially against sides that are going to defend with ten men.

I know he was only on the pitch for a few minutes but did anyone else think Ighalo look a threat?
