If you think Tammys' the answer to the teams' lack of goals, you're asking the wrong question. He has shown he has the potential to become really good, and is a better option than Bats', and possibly Giroud, but he won't turn things around by himself and misses sitters too. Start where we've been weak as piss for 4 years, the midfield. Kovacic aside, it's a hit or miss collection that misfires more often than roars.

I think it’s quite obvious to see that the kids need help and we are a few world class players short of what we need. Our front line is either old and ineffective or young, dynamic and lacking in experience to get the job done.
We seem to be heading in the right direction with our new buy so hopefully we will make a few smart purchases to bolster our young talent.
Even the class of 92 was helped by experienced players.

Kepa seems to be on his way out. I’d like to see us snag Oblak. Kante needs to be moved back into cdm quick sharp and our formation needs to change to reflect that.

we were mugged off big time against united. They aren’t special and we really should be beating them. Everyone needs to get a grip at the club and pull their fingers out. Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard.

Really. I wouldn't write off Mount and Kante. I think next season when Lamp gets balance right they will be great

Far from writing off Mount and Kante, I said Kante is the closest we have to a superstar and that Mount should have started before Jorghino , and was one of our 2 best after Kovacic !!!
It's obvious that a few of the young players are struggling a bit , Tomori is needing game time, Abraham before his injury off the boil a bit, Reece James (in the defensive positioning part of his role, not the attacking,) and at the next level, Kepa, Christensen, Jorghino are not setting things alight either, then there's Alonso, Pedro, Willian, all flat as a tack.
I have every expectation that all the young players will make the grade, if they haven't already, and several of the older brigade are on the slide.
So you are spot on about getting the balance right from my seat, and although that will mean a few big upgrades next season, there are still options for Frank to improve the squad he has. Kante when fit, in his proper role for starters, the return of the injured Pulisic, CHO and RLC. Especially get the best performing midfield and stick with it, which might well allow better use of Giroud and even Michy. I watched the game between Dortmund and PSG , those Dortmund kids are so much more direct than ours and seem to have fewer problems finding the goals. They spend no time looking for someone in a better position, they shoot on sight.Their midfield knows only one way to go, and it's not sideways nor backwards, and it's quick and accurate. We can do that, and did early season.
