No it isn’t. Not at all. Most domestic football fans couldn’t give a flying **** about City’s ownership.
That's just normal arguments between football clubs over rules and regulations and their implementation Man City's position is their owners are royals and the rules do not apply to them Man City's owners have decided that simply writing articles criticising them is an act of terrorism punishable by jail or the death penalty What do you think will happen once they declare Man City footballers to be ambassadors of the UAE and violence against them to be an act of war?
Think you will find i represent 1 billion domestic Chinese football fans. We care about the owners of man city destroying humanity via our domestic football (lets face it the chinese league is ****).
Yeah I suppose Language used in their statements so far says to me that they've very confident though. Whether that's misplaced or not obviously remains to be seen.
my reading is that they very expensive legal advice that either a) UEFA did not follow their own laid down procedures correctly b) the paper trail to prove that Etihad were not fully funding the amount stated either doesn't exist or has been "cleansed" c) they are blagging like HIAG pre doxgate .
Hmm, well I do concerning employment tribunals, but fair enough to the extent that it's the lawyers who get to read the disclosed e-mails and submit them to the judge for consideration, who then decides whether they're admissible and relevant enough to be scrutinised in open court. Point was, concerning Bod's reply to Astro's analogy, it's inconceivable that evidence of a murder such as suggested would be inadmissible in a court. But, as I said, if CAS (or a Swiss civil court if they appeal) rule the e-mails as inadmissible I'll be Terry Darracot for a month.
We were screwed in '65 in Milan too, by a ref that Hugh McIlvenny (a United fan, no less) proved had taken bribes. Cba searching for the link.
To me, the most salient word in that statement is 'Licensing'. Think about it those who think City have the right to do what they want.
Tbf, if they're arguing it's not true then fair enough - let's see what comes out. Bit different from the tone on here from some that City are so high and mighty that they're allowed to break Uefa's rules because of international trade laws, or Christ knows what.
There is a long running arrogance about City that they're above the law. Not sure whether that's down to the hubris you find with all "new money" clubs, or if it's specific to City and its fanboy unprofessionalism with the suits at the very top, or if it's down to the owners growing up like this... please log in to view this image
