Just seen their penalty now , really really soft , their player just went to ground , surprised more hasn't been said about it

Our season so far reminds me of when Blackpool got relegated with us in 78. To the turn of the year they looked good for promotion (us the play offs) and then the respective seasons fell apart and the teams plummeted like a stone (manager sacked by them injuries for us) out of the division. Despite all the positive comments 'played well first half' 'we didn't deserve that' etc league tables don't have a column for hard luck stories, it's points on the board at the end of the season that count. The next 6 games will probably determine where we end up. 4 against bottom of the table rivals and 2 others, all 6 of which have better current form than us and worringly the lower teams have learnt how to win again. McCann has proved to be a good (ambitious) manager so far at Posh and Donny, but maybe City was a step up (??) too soon for him. He's been dealt a **** hand with injuries no doubt, but it's all got a bit of a Phil Parkinson feel at the moment. Drifting with odd team selections, odder substitutions now blaming officials for defeats. Even assuming all of the injuries return to full health, when they do contracts are up and they'll **** off and we'll continue to use the dartboard approach to replace them. Understand why the twats in charge want to have a 'sustainable model' but the club is a house built on straw and has been for some time. The stadium can be packed to the rafters with everyone behind the team, but that won't get you promotion with league one players - look at sunderland for that. The allams are a blight on this club and must go for us to have any chance of being competitive again..
What is this ****ing dart board model ffs We scout professional footballers ffs Some will work out and some won’t
Think on Wednesday night we have to stick together the few of us who are left, we could do with help from the reserves and will gratefully receive it, we have to moan at every referees dicission against us, moan if he dosnt agree with us. Sing and support because this will be a battle, embrace it, believe and help win it. Three points is massive , yes we haven't won for weeks but Believe In what I'm saying because whilst I'm inspired drinking cider and watching Zulu i believe it.utt
Never a penalty but you have to score at least the same as, or one more than the opposition. Bad run of form. See y'all Wednesday. Another defeat?
Very true it's even more important because with them been in the bottom three then it can really open up a gap, however it works the other way and that gap can close so it really is a big game.
And because you 'must' hit T20 ( to fit the team 'model' 4-3-3 ) anything else doesn't work. I'm sure when we all played Saturday / Sunday league football at whatever level, if your 'gaffer' said listen 'X' can't play today he's hungover, I need you to fill in at left mid. I know you don't normally play there, but ... Your first response wasn't 'sorry gov, I'm the right of a 4-3-3 and can't do anything else'. Come on. Ajax mid 70's didn't **** about with static positions, they had full backs playing as forwards and vice versa so they understood different positions. 'Players lose (or win) you games, not tactics. There's so much crap talked about tactics by people who barely know how to win at dominoes'.
Does the current state of affairs have a Fish Out/Dolan Out feel about it? It’s beginning to feel frighteningly familiar to me..
I'm going to be positive even though we lost, up to the soft penalty, which I agree with Terry the supporters swayed the ref to give it, it was never a penalty IMO, we were playing OK. I expected us after Bowen/Turbo left, and new players coming in that we would struggle initially, but the Swansea game and now this one has shown an improvement in performance. Of cause lose to Barnsley and the alarm bells will start ringing, but I still feel, as long as injuries don't hamper us too much, we will still probably finish around mid-table. If we can get Stewart/Toral back, Wilks seems to be finding his feet, and Samuelsen and Maddison firing, then we should have enough to win enough games.
Only saw it live at the game but I thought it was soft. They'd appealed for one minutes before and he couldn't wait to give this one. PNE were attacking the home end with the wind behind them and enjoying a good spell ( all from memory this) The ref seemed a bit of a homer in the second half too. That tackle which crippled Eaves from behind was disgraceful and we didn't even get a free kick for it. Overall I thought we looked good in the first half, nay, very good and dominated it. Second half was more Preston but I thought we deserved at least a draw. Odd that he threw Maddison on in injury time. Is he on appearance money ?
