The Golden Mile. It was like ****ing Blackpool to us in the 1980s, that was. A pulling paradise. A seaside sorority. A fantasmagorical fanny-fest. Up and down the foreshore like whelks in a wheely bin, was we. Young, free and single. On the lash for some gash. Spunking the stash on some hash. Flashing the cash and lashing the tash. In and out of the Lincoln Castle like devil may care Regency dandies. We was the dudes and the dudes was we. Hang on. I seem to have drifted into some 70s glam rock alternative Universe. So to sum up. Hessle, it's a hell of a (seaside) town.
The deck chairs, Donkeys and the waft of that fresh sea breeze. Happy days. I remember the Lincoln Castle, looks surprisingly small in the pictures. The Lincoln Castle seemed much bigger when I was a kid.
I think you just summed up my older brothers life in the 70s right there. Lucky f**ker. Next we'll have a pictures of Tiffanys, Bier Keller and The Tower from the 70s to round it off.
Sounds / looks good ..... but how many revamps does it take? Why not have just done it right first time?
Just been in ferens art gallery. excellent local artists displaying Some really talented people and some local pictures too
Well, there's only two that have a chance, let's be honest. Wilberforce Bridge and Bilocca Bridge do both sound alright though.
