Or a purple patch. I’m not laying into Stephens about today, as has been said the whole team is playing ****. I was just pointing out that a big reason we struggle against direct teams is because our centre backs are bad
Releases JWP and Bertrand from pretty much any defensive responsibility. Makes a lot of sense. Also helps the two CBs with maybe not conceding a 4th. Clearly to have any chance whatsoever, we cannot concede again.
One dodgy performance and we are going down again, we have improved overall quite a bit over the past few months IMO.
This is very similar to the team/squad that struggled a couple of seasons ago under Pellegrino. Then Hughes. I wouldn’t be too surprised if there are still 10-15 players from the Puel era still here (cba to check). Ralph has done well to get them playing as well as they have (in general). We need a big overhaul I think but with the current owners it seems unlikely
Who has said that then mate? Think you made that up. We're a brilliant example of completely bang average. No better, no worse.
We generally win when we have less than 50% of the ball. We generally lose when we have more than 50% of the ball. Going into next season, we need to find a way of beating sides who don't want the ball.
Rectifying the mistakes of the starting XI. This one is heavily on him. As well as our inability as a squad to deal with direct football.
We always moan when we aren’t given credit for a win. You have to give them their dues, they’ve played very well and done a job on us.
