Only 5 clear ... could very well go down ... who are we currently playing better than ?

Once we lose to Southampton we will be right in the mix and tbh our run in is hard.

We are the worst performing side in the league right now, so he will soon realise himself when we lose at southampton.

Our manager is dreadful... i have zero confidence in anything he does and doubt we will get to 40 points.

It’s an absolute horror show. It the answer is that team today, I don’t even want to know what the question is.

Best thing to do is give up completely. Why bother suffering this abysmal ****, that can and will only get worse under Ashley. I’m done for now.

    Why though, to what end?
I'd prefer to play in the premier league but not just for the sake of making up the numbers every season. We should be looking to improve each season not just hang around like a bad smell.
If we go down as a result of at least trying in the cup then we weren't good enough for the league anyway

Indeed.... i was also ridiculed for suggesting joelinton and max would be worse than perez and rondon.

Because i like being involved in prem football more than losing away at west brom in the cup... we cannot win it so I dont get ant joy struggling through against **** teams until we meet anyone in the prem or championship and get beat.

I think if we lose at southampton and fail to win home to villa and sheff united we are as good as down .. we have a very hard run in ...

I have no confidence or reason to believe that Bruce will see us to 40 points ... does he ever turn it around ?

It’s a point to be fair. If I had a little confidence that we could go the distance then I’d love a cup run. But even championship teams (even oxford) make us look ****e. So even IF we got to the next round and got say Leicester, we’d get done. I’m happy that when the cups on I can actually take a look out for my team but Newcastle/Ashley have just completed took all my confidence away. I don’t look forward to our fixtures anymore! It’s boring

This season's been shi*te in particular. I've been well turned off premier League football. There been no competition at the top. We are boring to watch and I'd get rid of VAR tomorrow it's really sucking some of the enjoyment out if it.

I think it’s all very tired. I’m slowly realising this tribalism relating to nufc is almost nonsensical. It’s actually really sad to be bothered about eleven kids masquerading as men kicking a ball about. Loyalty is dead, competitiveness gone, and initiatives like VAR is just detracting from the sport. .
We are trying to survive, to do what? Try and survive again?

I genuinely think the PL invigorated football when it was a bit flat. Was good for the game, but predictably it’s attracted too much money, and now it’s flatlined again. The issue now is there’s nowhere to go. The PL was for everyone, glamour league. A Euro Superlewgue isnt going to cut it at all, because it cements the elite and kills the game. I genuinely think it’s a bit ****ed. Next step will be allowing 3pm televised, which will further kill crowds and so the slow decline of football begins.

I’m out for now, it’s already lost all meaning for me.

That is the best I've heard it described "we are trying to survive, to do what? Try and survive again"

Premier league isn't the be all

We'll survive but, even by Ashley's standards, if we finish this season in similar form we are mad to continue with Brucie for the next.

We will 100% still have Brucie next season. Not a single doubt in my mind.

As all our managers, he will be retained until we are literally relegated already.
