Up until a month ago the Mags would've thought Corona Virus was another possible signing ...

... they'd never heard of Joelinton or Almiron either to be fair.

Atalanta fans, from Bergamo in the affected part of northern Italy, were tested for Coronavirus on the way in to the ground before their 7-2 away win at Lecce at the weekend. Though I'm not sure how this works as I thought they weren't supposed to travel.

And RB Leipzig have had to apologise for ejecting a delegation of Japanese sports business course attendees from their game against Bayer Leverkusen.

Seems like no one has really got a handle on what to do for the best.

It's flu at worst a bad cold at best ffs.
700 people die from flu in the UK every year.
Just been said that the people at risk are over 80 or have pre existing conditions.
Children are not affected by it. Unless you already have a serious illness you will be fine if you catch it.
99% of people affected have recovered.

    Natural selection at work.

The overreaction is laughable, predictable and frankly pathetic especially now that the recovery rates are showing this to be no more than a bad cold.

Not sure what you get up to at the match marra but fairly safe to say the protective gear you'd have to wear to not catch aids wouldn't have gone on your pyat...

    Getting worse in Italy
    Infections: 2502 (that's another 466 in 1 day)
    Deaths: 79
Spain announce their own measures to control the spread

80% of the people who've died were over 60, not 80. It's significantly more of a threat to life than flu and it's plain daft to suggest it's no worse than a cold.

It's not as dangerous as the media make out but I'd be worried if I was in my sixties. One of the groups at risk is people with high blood pressure which isn't exactly some rare and exotic underlying issue.

I reckon it is flu like, but worse...the death is higher than flu. However it's not the black death or like 1918 Flu...vast majority who catch it will be fine....at least I hope so aged 67 here.

I think the mortality rate is about 3% isn't it or at least that's what they're estimating, so nothing like as bad as some illnesses but still potentially tragic if it got spread around at some public event with a lot of older people.

I was talking to a mate today, whose daughter is about 30... her mum when she was a child was concerned about what has now been revealed as fake news, that the MMR vaccines were dangerous. Utter rubbish...we now have adults getting more severe illnesses than this latest scare because they were not inoculated as kids

remove the new cases from today and that's somewhere near 4% and more than the 1% being bandied around

Government calls meeting with sporting bodies and broadcasters
Sports governing bodies and broadcasters have been called to a government meeting on Monday to discuss the staging of events behind closed doors if the coronavirus outbreak worsens and mass gatherings are banned.
The meeting is unlikely to be attended by ministers, but senior government officials will seek advice on the practicalities of staging sports events without fans, if it is needed.

    Corona virus.
The media in the Uk reported 163 cases, which is 1 in 407, 000 people and 0.00024% of the population!

Certain segments of our media are bone idle sensationalists, reporting it like a Brexit day countdown .
