Just posted my thoughts about Meslier on the breakfast thread. Be nice to have a keeper where we don't think all we need to do is keep the opposition away from him <laugh>
Not sure who posted it, but I think they may have been right about bringing in an experienced player if / when Kiko got banned.

We may not need to keep the ball away from him, we may finally have a keeper who can actually pull off a decent save now and again.

    On the BBC website now:

Casilla punched the resultant corner clear and in the aftermath Leko and team-mate Macauley Bonne reported that they heard the Spaniard say "you ****ing nigger" in Leko's direction.

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51724664

No excuse. Wonder if he'll leave the club now.

It was a shocking sight on Saturday seeing Meslier catch a ball. Really boring. Far prefer Kikos exciting punches. Nobody ever had a clue where they were going

<laugh> It also helps that Meslier’s 6’6” so he can just pluck the ball out of the air.

The stuff that Osborne came out with when he panicked in the last week or two was just as much bollox as the stuff the Leave side said. I’ve said that consistently for the last 4 years FFS - it’s almost like you’ve not been listening to me ;)

Nah staying away from it but disgusting if true that Charlton player is being abused. Why can’t people let this effing affair alone and move on. There’s football to concentrate on surely

Loads of posts on it, think its really amplifying the situation as well as mainstream media coverage, doesn't look good for the club, fans and his future. Another thing for people to hate on the club for.

He’ll move on in the summer in my opinion and that’ll be the end of it. Certainly can’t see him at Leeds next season whatever division we’re in

I’m a bit surprised the club stood by him if he has admitted to saying this. I see Nketiah was called up to give evidence against Kiko. Next season we need a better keeper if in the PL and if we don’t go up he is too expensive, time to let him go.

I was trying not to comment regarding the over the top IMO reactions to what Kiko allegedly said. The BBC are a corrupt bunch of lefties as far as I know, so they'd obviously take a lot of pleasure to report this. I think stuff should be left on the pitch and they are all over sensitive, overpaid prima donnas. I'm sure there are incidents in many matches that go unreported. Irish, Scots, Welsh etc etc getting called this that and the other, But they don't go running to the authorities. Why does the colour of your skin give you the monopoly on racism, a word IMO used to easily. I'm not saying Kiko was right to say it, if he did, but he's been punished and I think he's entitled to a second chance. As far as I know he's never done anything like this before. We should be supporting him, just like Liverpool did with Suarez. Calls for him to not to play for us or football again are also ridiculous. Joey Barton has assaulted more people in and outside of football and is still working in football. Let's give Kiko a break. <ok>

I just think we need better if we go up mate and if we don’t go up then £35k a week is too much money for a keeper of his standard. I know it’s cruel but I see it as our chance to fix that problem.
