Watford have submitted a planning application to Watford Borough Council to add 537 seats at Vicarage Road.

The additional seating would be situated in the corner between the Sir Elton John Stand and the Rookery End, and would include an extra supporter's bar to alleviate footfall on the V-Bar in the Rookery.

The seating would include and consolidate the existing temporary seating provision in the corner and would boost the capacity nearer to the 23,000 mark.

Hopefully all be worth it even if we go down!

Meanwhile if anyone has spare time on their hands they can watch the Under 23s at the Vic on 3 Fridays.

Several sources are predicting a big money move for Sarr. Although the club made a massive profit on Richarlison it must be peeved at the player now being talked about in the 90 - 100 million value bracket. Surely the club would want to keep Sarr for much longer than a year to maximise his value, obviously dependent on us staying up.

Saw Roberto P at the training ground today. I got him to sign my shinpads, which I then gave to Seb when I got home. He was a bigger lad than I was expecting. Very nice, too.

But they are Crystal Palace and they wouldn't recognise a football team due to a lack of intelligence
The other London football clubs hate them as much as they think they are allowed to hate other teams
They are dependent on one players cheating to avoid relegation every season because they have nothing else to offer
On the main Premier League board none of the London teams want us to go down except West Ham this season but the other London clubs want West Ham to go down because of the Porn Twins and the Brady bitch and the London Stadium

It's probably because Zaha is their I only really skillfil player so everyone targets him and unlike other sides they have no-one to rely on or ease the pressure on him so any tackle is going to worry them.

On their site there is a multi page thread about him and hardly chat about any other player apart from Beneteke who they probably wish did put himself about more !!

The presss call us physical because of Deeney but many defenders have worked him out too so well he isn't the biggest "bully" around.

Apart from Capoue and maybe Doucoure on a good day no one else is that strong in our team!

And I'd argue the latter is more powerful in his running ather than physical.

    We're hardly Burnley!!

The Athletic can exclusively reveal that Watford are exploring the option of building a new stadium and moving away from Vicarage Road.

Images obtained from sources independent of the club show a potential site for development and what the new home could look like.

In October it was revealed that Populous — the designers of Tottenham Hotspur’s new £1 billion stadium — had been instructed to look at options to expand Watford’s existing home. It now appears that they have also been working on designs at an alternative location, believed to be to the east of the town in Bushey.

Sources have confirmed to The Athletic that it is it part of a clear strategic vision for Watford’s growth, but the immediate focus is on the final ten games of the season and the fight against relegation. That means no official comment is expected from the club.

Don't sell out the Vic very often ...

Isn't there a season ticket waiting list running to thousands at the Vic?

Maybe but they might just be on there for the big Premier league games?

It's nice to show progress and ambition but not sure we'd get the crowds in if we weren't in the top flights.
