Jordan Pickford apparently. Save percentages aren't everything, more important is how that back third operate as a unit and we have been vastly improved since we settled on Macca. The communication has been better, there's been hardly any stupid 'oh ****' moments. He's become part of our possession play and playing out from the back. Its plain wrong to call him a bottom three keeper while we are sitting midtable thanks in part to his sustained stint in goal.
Jordan Pickford apparently. -------- You need your keeper to get you out of trouble sometimes, when your having one of them days. That rarely happens. But what does happen is when we dominate, and our strikers miss a lot of chances, then we concede the first effort on target. So he doesn't take the blame for our failings, but he is in the bottom three for me. He deserves a settled defence though, I'll give you that. Just think its another problem area we won't address.
Chelsea will want to avoid Manchester United if it stays like this, and the expected happens at Derby.
Considering their lead they really should have put more into the cup. Had a great chance of a treble this year which doesn't come around too often. Though I can't see them getting past Atletico if they play like have for the past few games.
With Arsenal winning last night against my beloved Pompey, I hope they go on to win this trophy. Would be good if they could play Spurs in the final. IMO, though, my pet hate, Manchester United are going to win the FA Cup this year.
Just looked at the HYS on tbe BBC website, and the vitriol aimed at Manchester City is awful. I just wonder if this is mainly supplied by Manchester United glory hunters who live anywhere but the NW, and Liverpool followers to a lesser extent.I am sure we on this site enjoy Manchester City pinching the trophies that should be destined for OT or Anfield.
Tonight could make Norwich's game at Sheffied a fair bit more difficult. Fair play to them for giving it a go.
