Good Morning. It's Wednesday 11th February, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road.

Bielsa set to stay with the Whites next season

During his Q and A session on the Athletic, Phil Hay was quizzed about Marcelo Bielsa's future, and whether he expected the Argentine to be in the Elland Road hot seat next season if the Whites were to go up?

He responded: “Yes I do. It will need to be agreed and Leeds will need to negotiate a contract extension. More than money, that would probably depend most on them meeting his various demands.

But I’ve spoken to people close to him and they think he’s ready for a season in the Premier League if Leeds go up.”

Casilla to be sent back to Spain whilst club decide fate

Kiko Casilla's career at Elland Road lies in tatters as discussions between the club, player and his agent discuss whether the former Real Madrid shot stopper should return to Italy whilst Leeds decide what to do next.

Former Chief football writer for the YEP believes the 33yo may not have a future at Elland Road:-

“As of last week he was training at Thorp Arch but there was some discussion about whether he would go home for a period while Leeds consider their next move for him.

“There’s obviously a case for Leeds to take disciplinary action after the racism verdict. We’ll see what their next move is but I’m struggling to see Casilla having much of a future here.

Cowley shares words of encouragement from Bielsa

Following last Saturdays crunch derby, Huddersfield boss Danny Cowley has shared what Bielsa told him before heading down the tunnel (and it was nothing to do with stop bothering dogs)!

Like he has done many times this season, Bielsa offered words of encouragement to the Huddersfield gaffer and staff.

“He just said he felt we had done an amazing job with how we have turned the team around,” “He was also complimentary about how the team have been playing, but he had won and he was happy!

“He just said he felt we had done an amazing job with how we have turned the team around,”

“He was also complimentary about how the team have been playing, but he had won and he was happy!

“Obviously we have unbelievable respect for him and it was a great lesson for our young players and it was a great lesson for Nicky and I, for Mark (Hudson) and Clem (goalkeeping coach Paul Clements) – and we will take learning from that, for sure.”

    Costa agrees 4 year deal

On loan Winger Helder Costa will be handed a four year deal at Elland Road as Leeds look to complete the paperwork for the Portuguese International winger.

Costa has spent the season on loan from Wolves, and even though the 26yo had initial problems settling into the team, he has improved significantly as the season progressed.

He will sign regardless of what division the Whites will be in next season.

In 27 appearances, Costa has netted four times and has provided 5 assists!

Is Costa as good as you expected him to be?

Is he strong enough for the Premiership?

    Morning all...

Sometimes Costa and Harrison look class, other times I shake my head. They are both getting better and better under Bielsa so if he is staying and he wants them we could do a lot worse.

Good Morning to Matt and co from a sunny Bardsey
Strikes me it will be soon rather than when when all the games get postponed .With 9 games to go it will mean the season will have to be extended to early June
The clubs will want to play these game has the losses entailed would be to great a cost
So little or no close season and perhaps the window will be put back as well
Why would they send Castiias to Italy surely Spain would be his destiny

Harrison is a much better player this season so buying him for £8M is a no-brainer for me.

Costa I was not so sure about but lately he's improved a lot, it's almost like he's become a different player overnight. Not sure if he's worth the £15M...... yet. But another season under Bielsa and who knows.

    Morning All.

Costa and Harrison, they just need to have some consistency (of playing well 90%+ of the time), then they are definitely worthy of the Premiership.

We keep seeing glimpses of Costa's best side, more so recently, same applies with Harrison, so, all good to see now, especially at this stage of the season where players are required to be on form, and that couldn't be any better timing IMO.

When we get promoted (See that, I'm still been positive!), we have to have Bielsa at the helm, so I am glad that this is already been proposed to Beilsa albeit the details haven't been finalised.. I'm sure we would love the challenge to be the competing manager against some of the key managers in the Premier League. Leeds fans wouldn't want anyone else in his place..

Onward and upwards. Who else thinks that Bielsa can speak English already, but he refuses to do it in press conferences because he doesn't think he's good enough to get his usual long articulated answers out?

Morning all. Agree Kiko likely to be back. Not bothered, trust club to make right decision as they're closer to what happened than any of us. Just hope we can get season finished in some shape. Important we get as much from next handful of games as possible and try finish the job off early before all the possible disruptions

During last Saturday’s game, I noticed Bielsa talking to a sub about to come on with Corberan, I think, standing close by. It appeared to me that Corberan was translating whatever Bielsa was saying according to the body language and timing of each person speaking.

Similar observation after the game with Bielsa speaking to Cowley with Corberan’s help.
