Next Saturday we welcome bottom of the table Barnsley to the Kiyan Prince. Barnsley have lost their last two, after winning three in a row before that. Those three wins have given them hope of survival, as they now only sit seven points from safety with nine to play. Looking at their top scorers, it is pretty obvious to see where we need to focus...Woodrow and Chaplin ( have 27 goals between them in all competitions...and given Barnsley have only scored 42 in the league, if we can work out how to keep them quiet that is most of their threat nullified. As we still have a sniff of a chance at playoffs I'll be hoping we go out and show the same sort of grit and determination that we showed in the second half at Preston...but as is always the case when playing teams battling relegation, we'll need to be on guard as they'll be desperate for any points they can go away with to maintain hope. I'll update with team news closer to the time, and I'd also say, stay safe and keep an eye on the news. France has just banned any gatherings of 1000 or more, so surely there is a chance that this game could end up being played behind closed doors. I'm sure the 'Corona Virus Thread' will keep everyone updated.
Queens Park Rangers in fine form playing some lovely football as we climb the table. A perfect time to play the team bottom of the table. Anyone need me to tell them what happens next?
If ever a team deserved a tonking for having the audacity to put 5 past The Rs, Barnsley are it!!! Let's go for a record 10 nil win for the first time ever. Actually, and back to reality, they seem a bit of a bogey team for us so would be glad of a win but can see a draw!
As I am a child of the mid-80's, Sheron was the first 'big' signing I remember us making...£2.75m...him and John Spencer...what a pairing.
To me sheRon was the start of the decline, 2.75 million buying an injured donkey, it’s on a par with recent wasted money
There often seems.to be lots of goals when we play Barnsley. Hoping it goes in our direction this time.
The pitch at Barnsley was in shocking condition back in December when we played there. Not an excuse for losing but quite a throw back to the poor quality playing surfaces (Oldham anyone??) of 20 plus years ago
Anybody remember the season that Sinclair scored his wonder goal. Am I right in thinking we beat them 3 times that season. Home and away in the league and also the cup game. Think they got promoted as well. We had just been relegated from the PL. The memory is going, was it 96 or 97?
Not at all. Just what Sky said is likely to happen. If yesterday’s stats from Italy doesn’t scare the **** out of our government then nothing will.
If I can get a spare seat next to me in KU then I don’t need to ice my knee when I get home so I’m hopeful a few people stay away. Seriously it should be off. I selfishly hope it isn’t but people at risk need saving from themselves.
I (and about 800 others) went to Barnsley in December. We were so bad that day relegation seemed inevitable.
