    I didn't see the match,
Did he put an effort in ?
    He usually does.
Maybe he's friends with the keeper.
Do you think he wanted to lose the game ?

Pretty sure he’s friends with their keeper. Was the same at our place. Not sure if they used to play together. I have no issues with him having a laugh with a mate. Still human and what would you do after a bad day at work if your mate came around! Ignore him and sit and be miserable? He was poor yes, but him having a laugh with a mate is no issue fir me

Performance was up there with the worst I've seen in 36 years of watching safc and not only that the last thing a fan wants to see after watching that shower of ****ing **** is a player laughing and joking with an opposition player

But its OK cos he's a great lad and all that

o nien was terrible, and about this match was the worst iv'e ever seen etc wait till the Blackpool game, who are crap but luckily for them we go there for an easy beating to save their manager. At least there is the tower to visit down there. We will be so far adrift by the time the next home game comes the cos southend game will be called off. Only the new lad looked interested tonight.

Ok i see where your coming from but emotions are high atm and I've always thought he gives his all.
It's a shìtter mate but I'm sure he's gutted with his performance and the result.
He just seems one of those happy go lucky kids who dusts himself down and starts again.
    Hopefully.

    I like him.

He absolutely is a great lad. And he had a bad day at the office. Something,we’ve all had. I wouldn’t expect him to not be himself due to that! You obviously would prefer him to stew on it and be a miserable twat

I like the lad and he always puts in a great effort, unfortunately he was just one of 14 Sunderland players who had a bad game last night. I have played in and watched games where the odd player has a mare of a game, but that's the first I've watched where every player was having a bad day! O'Nien at least did seem to want to actually pass the ball to one of our players, a few times when he was hemmed in close to the line he successfully passed the ball to one our players the other side of the pitch (they then hoofed it up field).

I've no problem with mates playing each other in football... when you look at sport in general mates are more likely to raise their game against each other than go easy. Whatever happens after the whistle is blown doesn't really matter too much although it would maybe better if O'Nein had saved his pleasantries for the tunnel.
