Who knows where it'll end? No one is the answer. It's because they don't want to announce the reality. This is just an interim announcement so people can get used to the idea ... ... once it sinks in they'll make another statement with further delays or worse. If they call the season off now supporters would really kick off.
Agree. I don't really think there's any chance of matches resuming on 3rd April. I'm hoping they decide to void all FACup matches and start From scratch again next season...........
Well, I don't think we're getting any footy, and anything else with large gatherings, until corona has pretty much spread everywhere and we see the rates of new infections begin to drop. Sensible to try to slow the spread like but that spread isn't getting stopped. Could well become a permanent feature for humanity in the same way the flu and the common cold are.
Well that was a shock to wake up from night shift.. I'm waiting for some fans to blame Donald for the cancellation..
Neither do the experts https://www.diabetes.org/diabetes/treatment-care/planning-sick-days/coronavirus
Now that footy is in quarantine till AT LEAST early April the possibility opens that the season may indeed not be completed. ! ! ! Bloomin’eck - forget the trillions of pounds wrapped up for promotion/relegation around the P. L. What about us ? No games before say June maybe a possibility would the league stand as is :- Coventry & Rotherham - promoted but as it stands we are 7th i.e. No play-off place !
One way or another with only 9 games to go, this season will be finished. I can see clubs going down the legal route if they finished the season now, There are tens of millions at stake, especially for those near the top of the Championship
Same over in Spain Smug, public buildings and schools, just about everything closed down. Uk Foreign Office advises UK citizens not to travel to Spain. It's going to be a testing time for all of us. I've got some tea bags so I'm ok for now lol although I have been self isolating since Monday as I have the symptoms of a cold so I'm just being careful. Everyone of you lot on here just be sensible and look after your families especially the old. That'll be me accused of acting like a fanny.
With no football for a while could it be time to go out and see some non-league action (not hears that's banned) Will have to look our for Kendal Towns fixtures.
The National League is still running. Some of the leagues at Steps 3 and 4 have postponed this weekends fixtures though.
'Sheels v FC United of Manchester is a top of the table match tomorrow (1st v 2nd) . . . . if you fancy it (and you're feeling healthy, of course) I'll be a couple of yards yonside of the half-way line, just past the players tunnel, if you fancy introducing yourself
This is the reality .... Football authorities in England and Europe are braced for a total shutdown of the game until at least September, amid fears that scores of clubs could go out of business and the sport could be sent into meltdown. https://www.independent.co.uk/sport...-champions-europa-cobra-meeting-a9401466.html
some great footy to be had in the Northern League, could be a lifeline for these clubs if their attendances rise as a result of this. Every cloud and all that...…..
