FFS Don’t you listen to the news ?
    It is NOT another ‘flu’.
We know that fit snd young/adults will not die from this, but for you to suggest that folk that are vunerable should be subject to ‘natural selection’ is so fekking far out nazi mentality that I despair.
As someone vunerable due to age and medical problems, I take the precautions available.

I have a flu jab annually to counter a known virus. BUT this has no known cure or resistsnt medicine as yet. But I am to be sacrificed coz some folk cannot be arsed to take precautions for their fellow men is beyond my comprehension.

That could be 4 months going by China's figures. Their rate of new infections has begun to drop quite significantly.

On the other hand you may not be safe once you've contracted it and recovered as a Japanese woman has just been tested positive for a 2nd time.

If that was the case, the crowd would be around the 40000 mark I reckon.

If it takes four months, four months it is then. I really can't see the ban on large gatherings stopping until we reach the point where the virus has stopped spreading and is in decline like. As for catching it again, well that's the case for the four other coronavirus strains that are endemic in the human population.

“There is some evidence that people can be reinfected with the four coronaviruses and that there is no long-lasting immunity,” Dr. Susan Kline, an infectious disease specialist at of the University of Minnesota. “Like rhinoviruses [which cause the common cold], you could be infected multiple times over your life. You can mount an antibody response, but it wanes, so on subsequent exposure you don’t have protection.” Subsequent infections often produce milder illness, however.

    https://www.statnews.com/2020/02/04/two-scenarios-if-new-coronavirus-isnt-contained/

Again from that site, it says “this first wave will be particularly bad because we have an immunologically naïve population,” but what we eventually end up with is a virus worse than the common cold but not as bad as SARS, so something that will be similar to seasonal flu. All we can do now is get through this first wave and hope that the health services aren't overwhelmed and the economy doesn't crash completely while we do so. TBH, I'm much more worried about something like MERS mutating and making human to human transmission easier. That bastard has a 35% fatality rate.

So, what about the premier league title and all the rest? Liverpool haven't won it mathematically yet so I don't think you can give it to them even though we all know they're going to get it. Declaring the season null and void isn't fair to anyone.

The only solution for me is to delay and finish the remaining games off at a later date, if that's this time next year so be it. It'd be bullshit but what else can you do that's fair?

In Italy one suggestion for relegation and promotion is the top six and the bottom six each have a knock out competition. I have no idea how it would work as i dont know how many go up or how many go down in their leagues. I hope that does not happen here.

It would be so unfair on some of the teams. 3 go down and 3 go up. Of the bottom 6 in Serie A, Brescia have 16 points, Spal have 18 points, the next 2 teams have 25 points. The 2 above that have 26 and 27 points with a game in hand which could have technically taken them out of the bottom 6. Then in Serie B, Benevento are top of the league by 20 points with 10 games to go.

The idea that Torino (on 27 points with a game in hand) or Benevento are effectively back to square 1 and have the same chance as Brescia or Spezia (25 points behind Benevento) seems so corrupt that the only place or would seem like a plausible option is Italy!

Giving Liverpool the title would be the easy part. How could you possible decide who should get relegated when Villa are in 19th on 25 points (with a game in hand) and the 3 teams above them are all on 27 points?

If it’s true that David Moyes is in isolation, I can guarantee that the coronavirus will kill itself. Imagine being stuck with that boring bastard for 14 days.

This is normal mate, you'll just have to get used to it.

There'll be no more football this season.
