Hmmm...one of the guys from my stag do on Saturday has just come down with a temperature and body aches. Here we go...
Hmm. Might have a chat with work tomorrow about starting the inevitable working from home immediately then. I'm used to having him 3/4 nights a week so would rather **** work off if I'm being honest.
If this helps for clarity, one of the people sent home today had been notified that his son was sent home from school with dodgy symptoms. Therefore he had leave too. No chances taken. I'm sure they will be fine eventually, but they are out of the equation for 14 days minimum.
Thinking about buying a nebuliser for myself and one for the in-laws as we all have asthma, However could do with some advice from those of you who've purchased one as to which one to buy, their seems to be a massive range in price and i'm a bit lost to be honest. Any recommendations welcome.
Like waiting for the other shoe to drop. I had a meal and a hug with a mainlander 14 days ago...who subsequently was ill with very convincing symptoms (cough, temperature, aching legs). I was mildly poorly for a couple of days whilst in ignorance of her plight...probably not Covid19 in my case as no one else is sick, but who knows.
There is a genuine concern that care workers with strong immune systems could do what you describe, which could be fatal to some of their clients. It really is a difficult situation to control, in this scenario as so many need care support. I read somewhere of one person sometimes seeing 14 different care workers in the same week.
A colleague at work has disclosed that his son’s teacher has tested positive for covid-19. It’s getting closer. There has also been a second positive test at the same school. Don’t know what school but he lives close to SMS, so I presume that it will be local to the area.
This morning I saw a photo of a square in Liverpool, that looks like it is home to several bars. The place was packed. So much for social distancing.
Yep. Pub near me was seemingly having a Corona party. Absolutely rammed. Money before the health of others. I couldn't think of a worse place to be, people are grim when they are drunk without spreading this crap around. And today those close proximity people with be infecting our local shops, travelling on our buses & even working on the front line. What a cock up.
I'm personally hoping for confirmed lock down now. Letting the public decide clearly does not work. Do the right thing Boris.
I said on monday how the trains seemed almost as busy as usual. Not the case today though. I would say about half the usual number. Hopefully I should be working at home too by the end of the week.
I've been saying this for days - BJ is saying the right things, but where he fails is that he is trusting the public to do what they are asked. A work colleague of mine has been saying all along "Oh its just the flu etc". He is 47, 5ft 2, 16 stone, diabetic and has heart issues. His wife has asthma. The school found this out and told him to pick up the kids and self isolate for 14 days to protect him and his wife. He self isolates for 22 hours a day now, but does go the the supermarket for food and did have a pint on the way back with his wife..... There is no helping some people.
