I wonder what the next announcement on football will be. Will they be brave enough to set out the guidelines when they confirm it won't restart on the 4th. I think they should confirm the season will be void if nothing has changed by the 1st of June. Its hard to imagine no disruption to next season, let alone trying to patch together the end of this one. Some big decisions need to be made. We need some clarity. And also they should talk about the financial plight of L1 & L2. What safeguards are in place to stop us losing the foundation clubs?
Exactly, Fran. I had what I thought was an incredibly bad head cold a couple of weeks back - very sore throat, sinuses going crazy. No coughing or fever, but I’m desperately hoping it *was* corona.

You can see it everywhere. Where a choice is given, people don’t isolate. In Iran much of the general population has ignored requests to isolate and refrain from group prayer. Now they’re talking about 3m possible deaths. We’ve been fairly good here but it’s only because anywhere you would want to go has been ordered to close! It needs more though so curfew starts tonight at 6pm. UK needs to get serious. All this delay feels like it’s an attempt to save some face economically, rather than save people’s actual faces.
Besides which is best for asthma relief check its suitability for use with CV infection. Take care stay safe.
Not a drinker...usually just one glass of wine, but my weekly routine is two pub lunches per week. I missed my first one yesterday....I really missed it. And my gym's closed...usually go twice a week....I sorta missed it.
I have the Philips InnoSpire which isn't all that expensive but you might have to hunt around to find one at the moment. The Philips units are high quality units, very reliable and affordable. The portable versions on eBay etc also work well but I would use them to get through a difficult period and then bin it. The InnoSpire is designed to be a long term use product and can easily be cleaned with Milton.
Chelsea have opened up the hotel at their stadium to NHS staff and Abramovich will personally cover all costs while the situation is dealt with.
I notice WHO have come out and said what I've been saying for years...blow driers in toilets spread germs. Hot air dryers can be effective, but let's face it most of those available are so feeble that you end up drying your hands on your clothes. Or to quote Sheldon from BBT: I'd sooner have a plague-infested gibbon sneeze my hands dry.
I'm not playing this situation down but reading constant bad news is not good for the spirits. The above is some welcome good news, and the supermarkets are limiting the stockpilers we can't let this thing drag us down. Here's another good news story, every cloud as they say https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-51943592 I'll try to find good stuff to post each day, best wishes.
https://news.sky.com/story/coronavi...o-covid-19-mapped-for-the-first-time-11959420 In Australia, recovery from Covid19 has been mapped in an otherwise healthy person. Despite Covid19 being a new virus, the body produces a robust response similar to that observed with seasonal flu. TBH the human body (and that of other mammals of course) is a wonderful thing.
Schools have a very weird feeling to them right now. In my opinion the expectation on teachers is too great at this stage. There are around 500,000 teachers across the UK. They (for full disclosure, this is actually a 'we') see Boris and the health advisors each night on the TV telling the population to avoid all unnecessary travel, all unnecessary contact with others, and absolutely to avoid any mass gatherings. And yet when asked about schools, Boris cannot move on quickly enough to a new topic. We understand that they have their reasons for wanting the children to be in school, away from elderly family members, and allowing parents to continue jobs. But it is coming across very much as the rest of the adult population should take every action possible to protect their health and the health of their family members. Teachers: if you can surround yourself by a large group of coughy, sneezy children with in many cases very poor personal hygiene, that'd be great. If you end up catching something and taking it home, that's fine, self-isolate and hand the burden onto the other teachers at your school. I urge Boris and his government to remember that teachers are humans too, not just glorified childcare.
Fortunately here many states are shutting everything down. Can’t wait for the orange haired one. Our schools closed last week and all restaurants can only deliver or do take away. Pubs are closed too. Grocery still open but many items are gone and limited to a few items by the store. Unfortunately only DC can pay the people no longer working. We will see how much the ones with money care about those with less.
