    You know what.

I miss that all we had to worry about was Brexit.

Went grocery shopping, and there were a few things out of stock (no white rice; no pasta; plenty of brown rice, which is my preference anyway). Weirdly, one of the things running very low? Bottled water. Water's fine, people! Lots and lots of the stuff. Only thing that makes sense is that people went into default crisis mode, and around here that usually means planning for the electrical grid to be down for 3-7 days after a storm. But COVID-19 thus far hasn't really shown a proclivity for infecting copper wire, so I'm a bit baffled.

I asked my boss if I could work from home. As I sell train tickets in a ticket office at a train station he said No. Worth a shot

Been a homeworker for 4 years now.

I actually get more done. But then I hate people and think most my co workers are idiots lol.

Joking apart, if your role can support it, it is the most constructive way of working.

EDIT: One thing I would say is try to shave every day as you would in the office. Sounds silly, but it makes me feel more like I am at work, rather than at home. Also helps when they insist the conference call should be a video conference :)

My local Tesco literally looked like Homer Simpson had gone round the store. No meat or milk whatsoever, very little vegetables. Not much ice cream (weirdly) and hardly any other frozen food. The Tesco is ****ing huge as well. There is not going to be shortage of food people!!!!!

Oh dear. Watering eyes. Running nose. Feeling that my temperature is a bit elevated. Yes indeed, I've made my latest curry a tad too hot and spicy again.

Might I suggest the local corner shop? Mine is incredibly well stocked. OK, it costs more, but the goods are there.

Mine get their own back in the morning, known as a touch of the Bruces, as in ringsting to paraphrase an old American rocker.
