Oh my goodness. What a horrible year this is. Terrible news. We've lost a legend and a real gentleman. So sorry for his friends and family. RIP Peter and thank you for all the joy you brought to the people of Cardiff and the footballing world.
So so sad. Absolutely tragic news. Feel so much for his family and nearest and dearest right now. RIP Whitts and thank you so much for all the joy you brought to so many of us.
Absolutely tragic news. Such a gifted player who has left so many great memories with Bluebird fans. RIP Whitts.
A great player, not without his limitations, with an amazing left foot. Not only that, but a modest man who seemed to shun the limelight. A genuine character taken from the world too soon.
Always an understated sort of guy - nothing brash, just a real footballing gentleman. If you've got a few minutes, have a look at this training camp interview with him made a few years back...............
Absolutely tragic RIP Whitts We never got to say goodbye to him properly as a player and under current circumstances will not be able to now. When all this C Virus stuff is over I implore the club to do the right thing and set up something appropriate in his honour. In the meantime my heart goes out to his family and close friends.
Absolutely gutted. Gutted. over 10 years at City and loyal as they come. Thank you Whitts! Heartbroken. Absolutely heartbroken
He deserves a statue outside the ground. Not many players in this day would have given over 10 years to a club, especially at his peak he would have had offers to move on. Absolutely heartbreaking
Terrible terrible news. Absolutely shocked. He was one of several Cardiff players I admired and would have loved to have had playing for us at the Gate. Sincere condolences - mixed with some anger about the manner of his death - to all his close friends, family and fans.
That is really apt. Over 400 games and not far short of 100 goals. A total legend. People talk of great City players over the years and he fits into the highest bracket. I’d really hoped to have seen him walk onto the pitch when the season resumes to accept our accolade for him but sadly that’s not going to happen.

No probs guys. No idea what happened with your post remote, but I've deleted your and Bluey's posts as requested.
QPR Fan in peace. Very gifted player gone far too soon RIP Peter - thoughts are with your young family
Two great articles if you haven’t seen them. The piece from WOL is very good (which is something I wouldn’t say often) some great tributes. https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport...-whittingham-cardiff-players-tribute-17952702 https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...-cardiff-city-tributes?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other
