I’m not sure yet mate. Going to get onto the bank tomorrow and eee what options we have! I’m pretty laid back but losing a grand from the Mrs wage and, provably all of my gig money (around 700 a month) is sticking it right up us! Fingers crossed!!
Hope it all pans out mate. I haven’t read up on it but I assumed the mortgage thing applied to anyone, so hopefully that’s a help to you. Was speaking to one of the lasses in Tesco earlier and she says they’ve had screaming and threats of violence from folk for refusing to sell them more than 2 of each item. I’d love to see some **** doing that. We’ve got to stick together like.
I was at Costco last week and a couple of lads had their trolley piled up with kitchen roll even though the sign said “1 per customer “ they were going off it at the lass serving! People are idiots man. My in laws are housebound due to this so we have to sort their stuff out. Been a nightmare getting the basics!
Folk are gonna start on fighting soon, it’s inevitable. When the stores say there’s no shortages and to behave normally, I believe them. I did my standard £60 weekly shop, no more. Actually a bit more they had Haig Club for £20 litre, amazing deal so I had 2 of those ha.
Corona crime has already started. A fella followed a woman home from the shops the other day and robbed her as she was unloading the car.
It is a fantastic gesture, but 'wealthy or otherwise' isn't right, mind . . . . Gary almost certainly wouldn't have been able to do this if he wasn't extremely wealthy/in a position to do so What I mean is that we should all do what we can to help each other . . . . it doesn't need to a 'grand' gesture to be just as important
Wealthy or otherwise is relevant. He didn’t have to do it even though he is wealthy, many aren’t. Many people who aren’t wont do a jot to help a neighbour, many who are do nothing. Ill rephrase to ‘it’s irrelevant that he can afford it’ if that suits you better. This was an act of kindness and I say say well done Gary.
So do I, Nads . . . . well done, Gary Conversely, Richard Branson, who is considerably wealthier than Gary Neville, has asked thousands of employees of Virgin Atlantic to take eight weeks’ unpaid leave in the next three months to help the airline to cope with the impact that COVID-19 has had on the aviation industry . . . . what a greedy, egotistical, and inconsiderate twat
This could all work in our favour. We will have Bailey Wright back now for the remaining games, Embleton will be fully fit and we've been able to have some breathing space to reevaluate where its all going wrong. It will have the opposite effect on rivals such as Oxford who were on a roll and totally full of confidence.
No footy in England until April 30th at the earliest. Turkish league has now been suspended. American sports banned for the next 8 weeks and all F1 races in May cancelled. This isn't going away before the summer.
However, if it goes on until the summer, Bailey-Wright, O;'Nein, McClaughlin and several others will not be bound by contract anymore.
We can but hope, fingers crossed. We most certainly were on a down slope..let's see what happens, we are noted for hitting the ground running in games
I think the club might of triggered a clause in Luke O’Nien’s contract that extends for another year.
If you carry the season on past contract extension time can't everyone just go on a month to month rolling contract until the season actually is finished? Can still allow players to sign pre contracts with others when there able to under current transfer rules so end of May I think for domestics and already can for international moves but can't start the new contract until this season is done. Extend the end of the transfer window to compensate for this season's over run as well. And as much as it pains me to say it I'd make the league and fa cups so that any club that didn't want to compete doesn't have to or can compete using their under 23s just to try to ease fixture congestion and keep the cups going. That's all if we get back playing sometime in the summer. If it ends up being a four-five month shutdown there'll be bigger issues than fulfilling fixtures as I suspect a lot of clubs could well be out of business by then, financial help or not.
O'Nein has triggered the extension in his I believe! But that's about the only silver lining in that!! That said, I think he's been in poor form recently so this break may do him good too. (Although he runs his arse off every minute of every game!)
