That 2:30 was one of the biggest carve up claimers I think I have ever seen!

    Fav 2/5 drifts to 6/4
    Stablemate 5/2 in to 10/11.
    Fav misses the break
    Stablemate hoses up

In a time where racing is only sport of choice a crooked trainer is tainting it!

I don't think one trainer will do any damage I think it's a pretty popular opinion that it's a very crooked sport generally

Aye but this one trainer is D Hogan. Had the 1st two in the market in a claimer of all things. Red flag straight away. Been at it for years that fella, and the UK try to get him when he comes over with a few. Wont be the last time he pulls one. The money on the winner that went down late on the exchange was staggering. The result was known before they came out of the gates..

I'm sure John Oxx said ride Sebs Star like he's the best horse to the young claimer but the horse was cooked after 3 furlongs!

Nice call on Fit For Function, following the early oddschecker moves still paying the green fees stick <ok>

Denis Hogan has a fair nice horse in Sceptical by the way. A few here sound like they are sceptical of him <laugh>

Not a crooked character in racing if you ask me.

Furthermore, there was an inquiry into that claimer at Dundalk and it has been referred on to the CEO of the Irish horse racing regulatory board over betting patterns. Yuften was found to be lame post race. Some cynics might suggest he was lame pre race as well but it does all seem pretty obvious.

In fairness to myself it is a lot more refined than that. I study a whole card and have horses for most races and then watch for the betting patterns. I should actually take more note of the exchanges as everyone tells me they are far more accurate these days.
If you relied totally on oddschecker blue you would be shocked and dissapointed at how many drift the following days. I put a lot of that down to bookies shortening to attract interest.

Of course I know that stick. Apologies if the comment came across as undermining, it was just light hearted with intent. I am aware that most do put the time and effort in and each have their own method of madness. It's all appreciated and each individual contributes in their own unique way.

Just don't start following me in when I put a John Oxx inmate up, ever. Shame to see such a highly esteemed trainer in the doldrums of late, the move with Prendergast hasn't really gave them the shot in the arm either. Maybe this Summer can bring a brighter light to the fore for them.

    No offence taken mate.

Re Oxx, I hadnt actually noticed how desperate his form was until I looked at the Dundalk card. Its very strange how trainers can simply be gone at the game in a matter of a couple of years, never to return. It would make an interesting thread.
