I'm a fan of egg sandwiches but.....marmite and Bovril. I'm from the south. Are they north country dishes?
Hiding the ****ed up fried egg there I see! Otherwise, very decent. Don't get the hash brown thing but that's an aside.
Where's your tin hat mate? In all seriousness though, butchers and farmers need our business so you'll always get most of what's on that plate. Not sure about the frozen hash brown though!
You keep on about this tin hat, I don't need it, I still got plenty of food (my comment was tongue in cheek), so I don't need to go and dodge the crazy hoarders. I've got hash browns, bacon, eggs, no mushrooms though because they don't keep fresh, and I used the last up in a bolognese. I'm not seeing the point in going out to avoid contamination by some of the weirdest and greediest fooked up people out there on the planet.
Well spotted. It was indeed hiding a broken one. as to luvs comment no those sausages were perfect. I have no means of getting in touch with the meat man as the local pub is shut. Which is upsetting as they are the best bangers I’ve ever eaten.
I'd noted the broken egg, but I was remaining polite today.....not sure how long that is going to last mind. ps. even the sausages looked lovely.
As was mine. There are a lot of people out there still panic buying as they think were going into the dark ages! Perhaps I stop labouring this 'joke', eh? For all our sakes.
Tin hat just reminds me of this siege mentality that is going on. People buying food for the sake of buying food, rather than their actual immediate need of it. If I run out of bog roll I'll use the shower, if I run out of bottled water, I'll turn on a tap. A Saturday in my thoughts is probably the worst day to go anywhere near a shop. I think it's right to keep a mental assessment for when you might need to buy food again, but I will do my best to be at a time, when there are less lunatics out of their asylums.
I really needed some form of bread, but the closest I could get was wagon wheels, I don't think they'll be any good for sausage sandwiches though, but I bought them anyway.
Making toad in the hole. This time I’m not cooking the sausages for ten mins in the oven before adding the yorkie mix. Instead I’ve browned them in the pan for about 3 mins. mash will have broccoli mushed up in it, spring onion and Parmesan. have made some courgette and carrot chips to to with. They have been doused in olive oil then dipped in a mix of flour, onion powder, garlic powder, panko, black pepper, white pepper and celery salt. will burn the lot as have had about 7 cans so far.
Ham and potato salad for me today. I chopped up a load of toms earlier in the day, added red pepper and onion, also finally chopped. Put all in a bowl and tossed in olive oil, basil and salt. Then left to stand in the fridge until required. Once serving tipped the contents from the bowl on to a plate, along with cucumber, pickled onions and beetroot and yes, the salad pots and breaded ham, the no added water stuff. Oh and not to forget the mayo.
