Well with regards to the second goal, and yes it was brilliant, the only reason he got so far was because the England players were hesitant to bring him down as they thought they would be screwed over by the ref given the first goal stood. Again from Shilton's own mouth that one.

Think it was Fenwick who tried to grab him around the waist but Dona was so small he missed him.
Peter Reid could have snapped him but Dona dodged out of the way. Butcher fell over.

Spooky, I was stood in front of the plain blue shirt he wore against England only last week in the National Football Museum in Manchester.

No goal was better than Deano's volley. None.

You'd certainly be pushed to find a better example of a perfectly executed volley*. ****ing cracking goal. But add in what it meant and who scored it, storybook stuff innit.

*Townsend's again Man City was damn near perfect as well it must be said.

There are some outstanding goals here, of course, but you do understand why Deano's was the the bestest goal of all time. Right???

It may be one and the same! Did he play for QPR and Spurs? But not at the same time!

    Try this bastard from Mullers

In 2008 when we won at Sperz my young nephew had access to their hospitality and was wearing his Umbro 2008/9 City shirt.

"You can't come in here wearing that" said the uniformed cockney goon on the door like the verger out of Dad's Army.

"Don't talk like a *****.Course he can, in you come son.." said Alan Mullery.

This just minutes after we'd won there.

Will always have total respect for AM for this intervention, when he could have easily walked the other way.

(* or words to that effect.)

Three of us. That's the difference between us and fans of some other clubs. Newcastle, TWS etc, they cry when they're relegated, we cried when we were promoted <cheers>

Make that four Kemps, it was high up there as one of the utmost emotional moments of my life, I had two of my adult kids sat either side of me and uppermost in my thoughts were the tens of thousands of Tigers that had never lived to see that moment. I know it’s only a game but if I’d died shortly after the final whistle I would have felt my life had been fulfilled!
