I could have worded that much better, just meant we're now closed until further notice. Only time will tell if we survive the pandemic.

Once Trump has passed his bailout for corporations (including his own hotels) the emergency will serve no further purpose to his wealth and he'll declare "mission accomplished" just in time to be re-elected

10% of the Greater Manchester police is already out of action due to a lack of PPE. Still no PPE for doctors. The NHS is going to be decimated.
It sucks. When the trains (national rail) were every 15 mins I usually had a carriage to myself. Now that they are every half hour, I have to set off earlier AND there are more ppl packed in. Company don't have the resources for us to WFH and are still trying to decide whether to close down or not. Until they do, I have no choice but to go in.
It's so needlessly stupid. When demand actually drops reduce the supply, don't just guess at a time like this what the demand is going to be to save a trivial amount of money. Also, sort out the money for employees BEFORE announcing a lockdown.
Italy might have passed the #inflectionpoint For the third day in a row, the infection rate here is slowing. Some 69,176 people in Italy are now confirmed to have coronavirus – that’s an increase of just over 8% on Monday's figures. It’s the slowest rise since the outbreak began and is now starting to look like a downward trend in new infections. Deaths, though, have risen again - 743 people infected with the virus have died in the past 24 hours, up from 601. But it's the infection rate that the authorities here will look at closest: it seems to show that the nationwide restrictions are working. Those are likely to tighten further, with the fine for breaking the rules set to increase, from a maximum of €206 – that’s £190 - to €3,000 – more than £2,750. Much now depends on the rest of this week: if the infection rate continues to decline, the government will be able to tell Italians that their sacrifice is paying off.
I know closure will have hugh implications for many companies but there really isn't a decision to be made. Boris made our very clear last night; if it isn't essential, don't go. Seen lots of friends posting similar things online about their work still being open, it's a disgrace. Even pubs have stayed open ffs #askingfortrouble PS... the train situation is shambolic!
