I think you'll be included in the SE from what has been intimated, but something to be aware of - sorry if it's been mentioned - but nothing has been finalised re: self employed yet. Even that guidance above hasn't been ratified.

I'll let you know what I hear. I've got to deal with myself, my staff and family so I'm sure an answer will present itself.

I agree that the government needs to do something for the Self Employed though I can see that difficulty in putting the right solution in place, but I'm sure something is coming.
For my part I own a business, have had to Furlough all my staff (no redundancy) thanks to the Job Retention Scheme. Unfortunately I am still left with trying to keep what's left of the business going so there's something for them to come back to, and pay all of the standing bills with virtually no income. I know I can borrow through the Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan Scheme, but that just adds to the bills long term.
I suspect there are many businesses in the same situation with premises and infrastructure to keep going, with nothing coming in, just hope we and as many others as possible can survive.

Apparently this is the amendment to the Coronavirus Bill, to cover the Self Employed, but according to Martin Lewis, unlikely to happen because the government are refusing to support it

Not necessarily on Self-employment but will be relevant to some.

I spoke to my accountants today for a few hrs. The government 80% coverage will only apply to workers furloughed - ie: you will have to be sent home rather than staying on. There's no possibility of the government paying your wage if you're still working. That should mean if you're still at work, your company is ok from a financial pov.

If you get sent home, the company will likely qualify for the 80% help, so don't panic, but do make sure if it's a small employer that they are aware of it. If anyone is threatened with the de facto boot, make sure the employer knows you'd be willing to accept a furlough and that they would then be able to keep them on without cost (at 80% wage) for a few months at least, if not longer.

For the self employed, hopefully you get something soon. The pressure is enormous, they won't hang on much longer.

These people are in need of help, but how much will they get
Maybe 80% of there declared income
There will be some winners and losers, that’s for the government to decide
    Hope it works out well

I believe that The Self Employed recently will have submitted to The Inland Revenue their Returns for last year.
So, The Government will know what a self employed person earned last year and COULD be in a position to compensate.

I'm aware that this idea has a flaw in it, but it's the best I've been able to come up with.
