I have seen some great bands over the years, one of the most recent was the Darkness in stoke on trent, much better live than i expected, the two guitars really make an impact. The best ever for me was Jimmy Barnes @ Rock City when it was a great venue. Much better than alot of bigger bands like the Manics, Green Day, Seahorses (all seen there). Lets Rock
Kinell we are talking 85 (?) ish From what I remember it was a bit lo fi. All tomorrow's parties wheezing out of her medieval organ thing, and also Pale Blue Eyes iirc. Sunday night gig I think Too young and daft to pay enough attention to her alleged famous beauty (ravaged by drugs). Long past her best but thought it best to attend
Didn't Nico end up living in a smack den in Prestwich, Manchester with Shaun Ryder and John Cooper Clarke?
We were about 3 people back from the barriers on the left side of the stage. Dodged the flying fish but got splattered during Allesfresser. Me and the lad have got tickets for Rammstein. Missed them last year at MK as he got a summer job in the USA and left before the gig. He's leaving later this year so he doesn't miss them a second time.
Think it’s Coventry we’re going to see them at. We’re right at the front as my mate wants me to get covered in it all!
Just got back from seeing Jamie Cullum at York Barbican. ****ing brilliant! Band were superb musicians, as you’d expect, and he certainly knows how to work a crowd. Proper ‘show’
So far I’ve had tickets cancelled for Elbow and Paul Weller (and someone else I think, but can't remember who) C'est la vie
Isle of Wight Festival still hasn't been cancelled and honestly, I'm surprised. Just waiting for the inevitable ticket refund email.
I've got tickets for Randy Newman in June, fully expecting it to be cancelled. It'll be the 3rd time I've missed him, previous times he's cancelled due to ill health.
Same with me for an Elvis concert in '83. Been rearranged & subsequently cancelled 3 times due to ill health. I'm beginning to think it'll never happen !
