After the mauling he got in the Commons today, I suspect that Johnson stormed out and told his little friend that he better get something ready by tomorrow as he didn't wish to look such a total incompetent again. Leave people without money to buy food and they will go out and steal it.

Aghh! I was winning, then Mrs Andy went on a rampage, knocked me out, then Seb knocked out Matej and Mrs Andy summarily disposed of Seb. Revenge tomorrow. <laugh>

Yes, interesting. She was coming from a US perspective, where health care is expensive for the individual. I suspect the total lockdown in NZ will be more successful than it will be in the US because there is a greater sense of community, more trust in the government and financial support for the poor. There are also fewer lunatic religious groups who think god will protect them. Odin really isn't that interested.

The mathematics of travel restrictions are compelling for me and quicker to impose than improving the supply chain or global health systems available for all. If I have no contact with anyone other than my direct family I can only get the disease from them.

As for face masks, there is a shop I went to recently that only allowed people in if the were wearing a face mask or a scarf. I had neither so I wrapped a T shirt round my face. That wasn't acceptable. Luckily a builder was going into the shop and lent me a building mask which didn't fit so I had to keep putting me hand to my face to push it in place. Nevertheless I was allowed in the shop. Whilst in there I saw a woman push up her mask and wipe her nose with the back of her hand. There was no hand sanitiser or hand washing facilities in the place.

Boris Johnson's popularity continues to rise as the public become increasing impressed with his handling of the coronavirus. His Chancellor, Rich Sunak, has also impressed with his impressive work in dealing with the financial implications of the lockdown measures.

Sweden has taken a different attitude than the majority of countries by keeping schools, restaurants and bars open. Gatherings of more than 500 have been banned. Neighbouring Norway has taken a much stricter line.

This nothing to do with a beauty contest SH. He was clearly very uncomfortable as he was questioned, and looked as though he really was totally lost. He is a first rate disaster to have in charge of the country right now. We will get and sort things out in the coming days, but under pressure it became tomorrow. I wonder how many of your ex-Wetherspoon mates actually tune in to PMQs?

As usual you seem out of touch with the UK public. I imagine most folk are sensible enough to keep politics out of it.
