Get off your high horse mate. I didn't say anything about you personally. I just said that everyone who works pays NI and tax and that is then used by the government for basically everything it has to pay for, including pensions. It's not like the money you paid was put away specifically for you for when you retire, that was spent back then. The money that pays for a state pension today is paid for out of taxes and NI that people pay today. Same as all goverment spending is being paid for by people paying in today. As for hardship, aye, mate, polish me silver spoon every day. I'm a council care kid, had parents who didn't give a **** and carted me off as a bairn. Seen many of me mates from my teenage days die through overdoses or suicides. Looking back, I think it was because a lot of them had gone through a fair bit of trauma in their lives, weren't getting any help, and tried to cope with it best they can. You're not alone in experiencing hardship mate, it's a fairly common experience for a large part of humanity imo.
Classed as construction work, and not a job you can do in your own home by it's very nature. So it is fine in two respects, not just one.
Good job I'm knan to the polis round here they kna I walk 3.5 miles daily to our lasses then back again make sure she's ok then cabined up the polis patrol pulled me owa earlier asked if I was ok said aye Thank god for my drunken reputation eh
I've just returned from my daily bike ride and there were a lot more people out than the last few days. I put this down to the weather more than anything else with the forecast looking colder and possibly wet for the weekend. Most people were keeping their distance and I did my bit by cycling off path where I could to give people more space, the only problem was one young mother with about 5 kids walking shoulder to shoulder right across the 4 meter cycle path - oh and 2 youths sat on the same bench rolling a joint There was also one bloke sat at the edge of the pond fishing. So is that exercise or getting essential supplies?
Good job I kna all the off-licences round here hardly a soul about & doddle to get served Different kettle of fish when I gan to the post office tomorrow for our lasses cash
This'll keep the numpties in & grind the country to a halt https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/11257415/uk-weather-forecast-sunshine-arctic-blast-snow/
There is a new health issue with many people unable to leave their home and take their dogs out. The trapped pooches are causing a further concerns for hygiene and cleanliness in the home and for the health of the dog caused by lack of exercise, A spokesman from the South Korean Embassy said they had been chewing over the problem for a while
Thanks to everyone who posted, my mrs seems to be a bit better today. We spoke to 111 this morning (she almost passed out at 6am coming back from the loo) and they said she didn't need hospital unless her breathing was impacted. She is not as bad as she was, but still very woozy and coughing. Expecting another **** night but touch wood.
I wrote this programme in Python for a teacher friend of mine. I also included a homework in the code comments, hahahah, what a bastard. You can run it by copy-pasting the code into https://www.onlinegdb.com/online_python_compiler Just clear all the crap on the screen copy-paste the code below and hit 'run' You should try it. Far from being idle at home self-isolating I've been educating AS students at a school somewhere in North Leeds and scaring the living **** out of them after they have run the results of my programme tee-hee days = 0 # basic integer counter variable # the The user defines the input variables ** Note: error handling, we should be using try() catch() corona = int(input(print("What is the number of people estimated to have Coronavirus in the UK? "))) doublingRate = int(input(print("What is the current doubling rate in days of the Coronavirus infection? "))) # while loop controls the calculation and if condition delivers output while corona < 30000000: # when the corona 'population' potentially excedes 30 million corona = corona * 2 days = days + doublingRate # Note: the programme would be more robust if we were to use python's built-in date() and dateFormat() # The numbers here only correspond to today 26-03 and you will have to change them manually after tomorrow # The display number days-minus-x are also crudely accurate. They are there to show you visibly the calculations # Hwk: in a few days time work out the correct number of days until the end of each month and change the subtractions if days < 36: print("Coronavirus will be at its peak on",days-6,"April 2020") elif days < 67: print("Coronavirus will be at its peak on",days-36,"May 2020") elif days < 97: print("Coronavirus will be at its peak on",days-66,"June 2020") elif days < 127: print("Coronavirus will be at its peak on",days-96,"July 2020") elif days < 158: print("Coronavirus will be at its peak on",days-126,"August 2020") else: print("Relax! We are OK until September at least")
The scenes across the UK applauding the NHS are quite extraordinary. Hopefully there’s a backtrack from the powers that be and these national treasures get their pay rise now.
I felt a bit strange applauding, but there was loads around doing it, heartwarming. Over 500,000 volunteers for the NHS, the country seems to be pulling together, yet there’s still a canny few inconsiderate twats about.
