    Quote on the BBC from Stuart Webber, the Norwich sporting director, respect to them for doing this;

"We've got 6,000 season-ticket holders who are older than 60 so, as a club, we've set ourselves a task of trying to ring every single one of them. The players, staff and directors are all involved."

In fairness, that shouldn’t be too difficult as I suspect most of them are related to each other.

Plus of course, dialling the numbers is quicker with all those additional fingers.

Three extra fingers on each hand to contract the germs though.

So....help for the self employed finally announced

Self employed £50k plus profits PA - zero help per month

Employed £50k plus salary PA - £2500 per month

    Hardly balanced??

Seems I'm eligible for f*ck all anyhow - savings too high for Universal Credit, no help as self employed as I have only been so for less than 6 months

Counting myself lucky that I have no debts at least

Maybe my local Tesco still has a vacancy.....

It’s not balanced and it leaves a lot of people in a bad position but I can sympathise with Sunak and co a bit. They’ve got to draw a line somewhere and the SE in the £50k scenario would normally come out of it better than the employed.

I’d rather they just brought in a UBI but most people have opposed that as far as I can see.

Actually the opposition leader who was unelectable managed to get into power and cost many more lives because he couldn''t make a decision. However the good news was, that the chief of Homeland Security who was called Diane, stopped a panic when she added up the death toll figures of 10m and 10m and got 6m. :)

Just found out that one of my close colleagues, who I was in close proximity to last week on handover, has been found positive for COVID-19 and has spent time in hospital on resus. Knew she was ill but didn’t realise how ill.
Along with the dozen or so (no exaggeration) who I know that are self isolating through either showing symptoms or through family showing symptoms......I fear there soon won’t be any staff left.

Still the battle of PPE goes on..........

One of the wifes pals, an A&E nurse, is in a serious condition and is struggling - think she's ventilated up at the QEUH. Early 40s, two kids under 10....

They've still managed to keep it out of the wife's work, but they are the only prison in Scotland without a case so far. Barlinnie has a whole wing in isolation.

****e PPE, but she's not complaining though.....

I think a big problem will be that the staff and paramedics treating patients are so overwhelmed and subsequently knackered their immune systems are weakened as a result, you really can't praise these people highly enough...

Mate it is a worry for sure. As I said before...I’m not too stressed about it.....but the Mrs is ‘cos of the problems she’s had before.
Good luck for your Mrs and her mate x

Can sense how tough that is for you to hear Stainsey. Keep that inner strength, you and all your colleagues, are showing. It is very much appreciated.

Funny I was thinking of it in a different way. I always was on the understanding that our immune systems would be pretty good, as we are dealing with sick people everyday. I’m not a scientist so dunno what is true.

I think it's more to do with the tiredness, being physically drained can't be an advantage...
