Cabinet Office Minister Michael Gove says the Prime Minister has brought together businesses and universities in a new alliance to increase testing for health workers which will be carried out by the end of the weekend on front-line health staff.

The rate of active cases in Italy is still rising, but at a (slightly) slower rate than previously, and the number of new cases a day is now (very) roughly level.

Its impossible to comprehend the bravery of the front line doctors and nurses 1.2 million of them and 1.7 million care workers and all people exposed. Pray for them and pray for everyone.. its just about to get unimaginably awful....

I think the case figures are so massively varying and misleading the only solid data you can use is the deaths. I would do the graph from day of first death.

    Keyboard big man strikes again.

Mocking those who are out there trying to help and protect us whilst tucked away at home.

    Absolute bell end.

One thing I’ve not seen mentioned - 113,777 tests have now been carried out in the UK with 14,543 testing positive. They are only testing patients in hospital.

Just how many people are ending up in hospital and what reasons are they going/being sent in with?

In the current climate, I'd assume anyone showing serious flu-like symptoms is likely to be in and tested.

I suspect the number of cases here will massive increase after all health care professionals are tested over the weekend.
