That’s the way forward mate, try and live as normal and stash the extra.

Things will get worse, we are all gonna be affected on some way, directly or otherwise.

Brutal that mate. You’d have though a council tax freeze and a VAT freeze for small business would have been first steps.

Keep people financially right and they will spend and keep the economy moving. Seems a no brainer. I think they will do it but they need to do it now, folk start paying next week and nobody wants council tax debt, it’s the worst debt there is.

We are all supposed to be classed as indervidual
However if you are married that’s out the window where beniffits are concerned
My wife earned nil and I mean nil for 2 years and I had to provide for her

That’s one of the systems biggest failings mate. One salary or income isn’t enough for 2 people, I could understand a reduction, but not to say your get nowt’.

Yet a dosser who can but won’t graft gets sorted. Madness.

After having a moan at them, Sky rang up and have taken off the sport cost for a couple of months

You didn’t have to moan, there’s literally a statement on the website saying ‘click here to pause your sport’.

Sky have managed it brilliantly, writing off £160 million to help customers <laugh>

Well all I can say is I tried last week and this was not available. I tried ringing, but staff have been sent home? Tried emailing and got a reply try another email on our website, none available. Tried using a contact sheet, but it did not like a compulsory phone number in any format. So I snail mailed complaints

Hence I suppose a phone call from them this am

But yes, want is the point of being an old git, if you cannot be a little curmudgeonly..

Especially for us Sunderland supports the past few seasons. Good job the cat died..

Wasn’t available immediately mate as the company has to manage the loss of £160million a month, I think 4 days is incredible.

No other sport broadcaster is offering pause, cancel, reduction or refund.

60% absence now and around 8,000 times the demand for staff, and people shout at them for waiting when they get through.

People are a ****ing shambles (not aimed at you, you would not believe the way some folk have been to staff).

This might be helpful for some.
If you want to suspend sky sports ring this no 08001512747,it’s an automated service
When they ask what you want just say cancel sky sport,it will ask if you want to suspend it,ask for your postcode and it’s done, dead easy

Sky have done well with this imo.

However, I wonder what gesture the BBC will make with the licence fee.

After all many of their big shows will be disrupted and some cancelled entirely.

    Glad you agree mate.

Everyone is ****ing dead on their feet now, we are now only allowed 30% headcount in any building at any one time, it’s brutal.

Sky did the right thing, and for all they’ll lose out now, customers will remember how quickly they acted and how much they bent the terms to aid folk.
