It's definitely wrong that he is taking holidays in the US when he should be running the country.

Some saying it’s China and it was a bio virus leaked by accident is IMO the most likely scenario.

The fact that no vaccine can be currently claimed backs this up. Normally viruses tend to have a vaccine pretty much as soon as the virus is identified. Because of science advances etc the weird part for me is that the countries that people are pointing the finger at have serious problems of their own.

 

If you are working on developing biological weapons I would have thought you generally develop vaccines at the same time as you develop the virus. These are normally stored in yellow syringes and kept in one of those metal suitcases according to most of the films I have seen.

I read the other day that Malaysia had just identified Pangolins, with a very similar virus, which are often shipped from there to China for medicinal purposes and for consumption.

I suspect that like SARS, this is another virus that comes about from animal to human crossover, most likely from too close contact with the animals.

Don't know why people are favouring the conspiracy route.

 

Because it’s far more interesting and we all like a good conspiracy. I stopped at trying to blame Pardew but the thought crossed my mind. Let’s be honest if Pardew was prime minister people wouldn’t cross the black and yellow lines for 2 metre special awareness because no one ever crosses the line under Pardew.

And if someone did then he would stick his nut on them!

They don't have a vaccine for SARS-1 yet which is now 20 years into research. Usually it takes 2-3 years to develop a vaccine for a new virus, but there is no guarantee they will have one for this even in 18 months - though it is much more likely now that it is affecting the West as they will throw a lot more money and research at it than they did at SARS-1.

Unfortunately there is no known vaccine if it was caused by Pardew either. That means they will have to follow the extensive research carried out by Steve Wraith and just boycott the whole thing and stay at home till it goes away.

 

If that doesn't scare the **** out of you more than any weird, Resident Evil related biological weapon conspiracy, nothing will.

Got to question the fact we always accept any of this off-the-scale crazy ****ness as "because they're Chinese". **** that. The World should be rinsing China for being such a backwater hellzone.

It can be called the Chinese flu if people like, it does appear to have originated from there. My issue isn't that, it's the attempts to absolve governments of blame by using this terminology.

Some in the UK have been using it as a weird defence of Boris' incompetence. The reality is it doesn't really matter where the virus comes from, it matters that we plan for eventualities like this and are proactive, not reactive. We haven't been, as proven by herd immunity, and that is completely the fault of our government.
