After which they'll need another pre-season of a month before they're fit to play.

But that's not the big problem with the scheme ...

... one Liverpool player being confirmed positive, after the restart, will mean the whole squad has to isolate or be tested.

Then the whole thing falls apart again.

Like I said can’t think of a way out of this but if you could come up with a plan that sees Coventry relegated on the last day. I’m in

Pessimist...fancy..football on for 4 weeks, morning, afternoon and night...Sky, BT and Amazon having a field day, even terrestrial might get a look in!

If the tory government ever get round to sorting Coronvirus tests out...then all the squad gets tested and then if they are clear...kept together till games all over..

I'm an optimist mate, I'm hoping we can start the new season in August ...

    ... a pessimist would doubt that'll happen <laugh>

Seeing as they are so bloody childish tell them to sort it out themselves and come back when they’ve done it.

One newspaper reports that the Premier League would have to pay back a lot of TV money if the teams do not finish the season...

Sky have of course cancelled lots of sports fees..

    They will play?

That would depend on their contract wouldn't it.

In all major contracts I've ever seen there are clauses for 'war, civil disruption, etc.'

This is a government enforced lockdown and the PL are currently barred from fulfilling these fixtures ...

... imo there'll quietly arrive at a financial agreement and people will have to live with it.

they could have "force majeure" included in the insurance policy...I assume that if any "large contracts, insurance policies have this included, the claimants will be all over that.

Missing out on European places . Made me think - if Liverpool don’t get the title , maybe karma for the clubs who lost the chance of European football after Heysel
