Off Topic SARS-CoV-2 Covid-19

It's a modified CPAP - Continuous Positive Airway Pressure - device. I have one of these to manage my sleep apnoea. It keeps the air passages open with a blanket air pressue. Works well for me, helping me sleep better and wake feeling less tired. As a side benefit it stops me from snoring.

If you are serious, you can get one on the NHS. Get a referral through your GP to your local sleep apnoea clinic. (But probably not right now.)

Watched this vimeo (its an hour long) and was meant to be advice from a front line covid19 medic in a NY hospital to his family and friends, but it is now public. I thought it was very reassuring and the guy seems to be a rock of common sense. The very last question he is asked (56:15) relates to UK policy (bear in mind that this vimeo is a week old, so policy has since changed) - anyway that is just a side issue, the thrust of this is how any everyday person should deal with covid19. I felt positive after watching this.

I have a different slant on this one GLP. I thought he was terrible at social distancing, once we were in possession he’d go out of his way to find the bloke who was marking him, and stand in his pocket

The real idiots are the foreign office and the travel industry.

 

I have limited sympathy but 2 weeks ago if you didn't travel on a pre-booked flight of your own volition then travel insurance companies were quite clear that you would not be able to make a claim. I bet a lot of people made bad choices because of that and are now regretting it stuck God knows where.

Hindsight, as always, is a wonderful thing.

 

A friend of a friend was mid air on the way to Egypt when they announced nobody would be allowed in. Pilot announced it in the tannoy mid air. Originally they were to wait at the airport for a return flight but none was forthcoming, I know they were all put up in a hotel somewhere until they could get home but that was the last I heard about it, could still be there.

 

So we can blame him for all this **** going on? good
