I can see you've deleted the post but wondering which rural Scotland area this is?

Just out of interest as, I live in the Swansea Bay area (see attached covid case tracker; https://news.sky.com/story/coronavirus-uk-tracker-how-many-cases-are-in-your-area-updated-daily-11956258 ) and it has as many confirmed cases as most areas of rural Scotland and those I know in the medical profession here (2 GP's and one staff nurse) contradict what you said in your post. There are very definitely not freezer wagons being used as morgues for a start.

I'm not saying it's not happening, what i'm begin told is they are now prepared and the death rate in nowhere near as high as initially predicted, or interim predicted. It helps there are 500+ beds currently being sorted in various emergency hospitals in the area that hopefully won't have to be used. Staffing them is the biggest problem.

This area isn't a hot spot, it's not as bad a major cities by any means, but per 100,000 population the rate is still fairly high.

There is way too much contradictory and misinformation out there.

I agree completely with @luvgonzo, the media just publish the headline and the morbid headline alone. You get **** all of the positive news,

I deleted it because I had promised not to share, but I think the issue is around how many cases there are in relation to those reported combined with the facilities that some rural areas, with large catchment areas, have available. Normally these people would be transferred to larger cities but that is no longer an option open to them.

 

Remember building 7 collapsing in the background after the reporter had already stated that it had gone down
