I do but, if there were no flights, I'd have to accept it.

You'd have to accept it just as your grandparents did without going insane.

If it would help the planet survive, for the sake of my grandchildren, I'd happily never fly again.

Most flights are really unnecessary when it comes down to it.

I certainly think the amount of flights will remain lower after this, sadly that will drive prices up.

Just been informed the first month has cost Comcast, who own Sky, $700 million.

That starts to show the impact this will have on businesses that can’t carry losses. It’s going to be carnage out there.

I'd be happy to see the cost of flights go up by a huge amount tbh.

The flight I'd booked, for the Shrewsbury match, was just over £30 from Beziers to Luton.

I won't be going but it doesn't really matter.

I'm quite happy, in touch with all of my family and if Ryanair vanish that won't really matter either.

I get the sentiment mate, I really do, but the mass unemployment and knock on effect is a hideous thought.

You’re talking about a heavily pressured industry and there’d be suicides. It wouldn’t be pleasant at all.

Would there be a greater good down the line? Probably yes.

It's an 'industry' built on something most people don't really need.

Sorry to say it but Sky TV is another example of that. So many channels are worthless.

I've lost loads of jobs without every having committed suicide ...

... if that'll really happen then the world's gone mad.

I think this crisis will prompt a few people to reevaluate their lives.

We aren’t ‘most people’ though mate.

It’s one thing being adaptable, it’s one thing having clarity of thought and making yourself secure, I’ve got that, and I know you have as well. Many don’t. Many of my pals don’t.

I wouldn’t want to live in a world where we can only have what we need. That’s not living at all. At the very least you need a balance.

I don’t need to point out suicide rates over the last few years, and there’s little question that the majority of the rise is related to increased pressure, often resulting from financial and employment issues.

I wouldn’t want to see that accelerate. The world has already gone mad, it’s already been happening for several years.

I agree with most of that mate.

Sadly I think many people load financial pressure on themselves through living beyond their means while they're employed ...

... if that ends they're in no position to survive and their lives fall to pieces.

I have a great deal of sympathy but boy it is a fragile world we've created.

    Absolutely mate.

I think, and I know from things you’ve said over the years, the key to life is being happy in who you are, don’t need to compare to others, ‘what do I want?’.

Some folk are happy being fed, some like holidays, some German cars, some £200 jeans.

Wherever you fall that’s fine, get yourself there and find contentment, but get there in a way that it’s sustainable to you personally.

Some will always have more, some will always have less. Be cool with that, it’s fine.

The world has lost that. We live in a world of envy and materialism, I openly admit my part in that, but then I could adapt if my employment changed etc.

Being happy being you is the golden ticket I guess.

Just cancelled my August holiday and took a £240 hit but not bothered about it. Numerous reasons for doing it but the £4k I would have spent on it will go towards a holiday in this country in the Lakes and hopefully can meet for a drink with a couple of the lads on here

I've never had a lot of time for the Chinese tbh.

Any nation that can kill a magnificent rhino just to cut its horn off, grind it down and eat it, just because it slightly resembles a knob is weird imo. Their treatment of animals is something that's always put me off going. It wouldn't surprise me if this virus has sprung from the way they cram so many species into inadequately small area.

Sadly the bloke who I mentioned who went to Benidorm has passed away. Developed a cough whilst in Spain and progressed from there.
Still think the worst is yet to come here as well.
