I think we've done quite well on this thread, avoiding conspiracy theory nonsense, it would be good to keep it that way.

Vested interests. Governments, the financial system etc. It doesnt even have to be coordinated as such, just a copying of behaviour across the board. The 60 weeks of yellow vest protests have halted in France. The Hong Kong protests against China have stopped. The Iran protests have stopped. And so on. It seems to have worked out well to have a third of the world on lockdown.

You're not going to stop them all, there's still quite a lot of repatriation flights going on at the moment.

It's not a conspiracy theory that your rights have been reduced due to a government enforced lockdown, is it. Its a basic fact.

I get that, but even you mentioned these repatriaitors yesterday. They should all be quarantined on arrival.

The politicians in Denmark are also saying similar things.

The death rates per millions in Sweden is about 24 I think Norway is 8. Almost all of ours are Stockholm based. Still fairly early days and low numbers compared to other places.

@chillo hospitals here are pretty good but obviously there are still MRSA cases.

As for the avalanche who knows? They army is building a massive field hospital just in case but overall numbers are very low.

An interesting face about Sweden I only just found out is almost 50% of people live alone. Multigenerational families are very rare. We are also very stand offish at the best of times.

(Funny how I say we now after 12 odd years and a passport)

Claiming that it's been done deliberately by the government to put future generations in debt, to move wealth into a smaller number of hands and to control our ongoing freedoms and rights and most definitely a conspiracy theory.

    It's also getting too political.

Sweden's closed case outcomes aren't looking too clever...

I've seen just one flight over Nottingham today. Small planes from the local airfield are grounded, and the regular evening freight flights into East Mids are absent. I usually hear at least one when I go to bed, but not now. I am hearing traffic on the A52 though, much more than I would have thought necessary, but who knows.

It was announced on March 25th that Prince Charles had the virus and was going into self isolation, he has already recovered and out of the self isolation. I presume he has been tested to know this, which sort of shows why we should be testing more especially key workers. There must be loads of people sat at home for two weeks (?) who could be at work.

I'm on the Leeds/Bratfud flight path just as they bank into Leeds. It's so nice to hear the silence. I must have heard a maximum of 2 planes today.

20% of the Met Police are currently off sick or self-isolating, which seems ridiculously high.

One in six of the Scottish Police force as well, in fact, there's more police currently off work in Scotland, than there are confirmed coronavirus cases.

Those illustrations you keep showing are doing nothing ( for me ) but confusing the issue, it makes out that if you contract the virus you are very likely to die( 94% in Sweden), unless you happen to live in Germany

I'm not sure that this is ethical for a junior doctor to tell the public how many death certificates he's signed in a shift??? Personally I think it's an outrage and he shouldn't be doing it!!!

Around 4 weeks ago when the virus was spreading worldwide and well in the public spectrum, the public were told they were wrong about the virus, their fears were racist, being encouraged to hug Asian people, welcome Chinese tourists, eat in Chinese restaurants, to take London underground and to attend public events. 2 weeks later, we were put in lockdown, told to stay 2m apart from anyone and fined for cycling through a park. It's undeniable that the general media is the mouthpiece for overriding power that dictates, or wants to, how we think and live.

The about-turn in such a short space of time and change of direction must make even the hardest cynic question what is going on.

I appreciate you don't want politics, but feel that I want to explain my stance on my posts today, so will leave it here, appreciate if my explanation is left and hope it will be taken as it is and not as provocation for argument.
