Why are politicians going on about footballers living in a "moral vacuum" and demanding they take pay cuts but saying **** all about billionaires demanding bailouts? Dany Levy is a total **** but so too are the likes of Richard Branson, Tim Martin, Gordon Ramsey...
Probably because they’re on a payroll the same as the cleaners and other staff at football clubs who have been furloughed, whilst they’re sitting there taking their £100k+ a week protected by the fact that they’re an intangible asset and any reduction in wages would have to be agreed by them, otherwise their clubs would risk them walking away under breach of contract. To my knowledge, not one of the greedy ****s in the PL have stepped forward and said they should collectively take a pay holiday.
Branson on his island will be perfectly isolated until this all blows over. Cannot believe he's asked for government help ffs. Also, when McDonalds, Pret, Nandos and Costa closed, 180,000 ppl were laid off in one weekend. All companies did reasonably well in covering full pay for a short period. But bear in mind only 18% of McDonalds staff are directly employed by them. The rest...franchise and the 80% wage is completely in those franchise holders hands.
Apparently, so will we be as of this evening. So, front room TV = Xbox. Back room TV = Disney. Best start that book and open a bottle.
My Mrs, her parents (who live round the corner) and her younger brother keep having this group facetime thing. It's all a bit cringe tbh.
I think my kids are rinsing it for all the movies until the trial period is over. No fcking way I'm paying for it.
Bloody hell mate you just made me turn to my eldest and in a grumpy as fck way ask "How long's this trial trial with Disney!" 7 days. How do you know this! It's on their website. Oh... ok then (I haven't checked but I cannot endure more than 7 ffs)
