I'm not sure how you think moaning about the UK government on a football forum is going to safeguard your family in the UK. This Conservative government retains the confidence and popularity of the British public. All governments have clearly made mistakes, including ours. The judgement by the public will be by comparing our death rate to others once it is over. Nearly all governments suffer in support mid term, fortunately the Tories have many years to turn things around. It would take a monumental effort for Labour to change the government in five years time, it is quite a remote prospect.

Boris Johnson's popularity has even risen recently, you are clearly out of touch with the general British public view of him.

What an absolute fool you are. My comments, backed up by others around the world, show just how woeful the government is that you have given your loyalty to. My comments here simply replicate what I say elsewhere, and it may surprise you to know that I don't get the fools disagreeing with me. Why shouldn't I warn people about the most pathetic government that I have seen in my lifetime? It is only by people being aware of what a disaster this shambolic bunch of chancers is that they can be given the truth rather than their lies, which in turn will help to protect my family.
We are not talking about a tax reform that went wrong here. We are talking about the lives of thousands that can be lost or saved by the actions of this government. If all you can think about is keeping this bunch of crooks in power, then in my opinion you have got your priorities badly wrong. There is no point in talking about other parties, they are not having to make decisions. You may still be in love with Johnson, but when enough people realise that he is a shallow self serving individual that has led the country into a blind alley, then opinion may change. You can either question loudly what the hell this lot are doing, and hope that eventually it gets through to them, or you just sit back, say nothing, and hope that not too many die. I think we can see which group you belong to.

It could be your isolation but you always seem to find yourself firmly in the minority. Whether it is Brexit, politics or indeed anything to do with public opinion your judgement is always contrary to that of the British people. I'm not in love with Boris but clearly the country remains so. Recents polls suggest your efforts to persuade the public of the misgivings of the present UK are not working, you are simply preaching to Guardian believers who are part of an even a smaller, ineffectual, minority in the country.

I lived in a period just after the war when rationing still existed. It was introduced to ensure that everyone had access to food, and what was available was fairly shared around. 70 years later and I see that rationing is to be reintroduced, not on food this time, but on ventilators. If your chances are not so good, give it someone who is more likely to recover. How after all these years have we not learned that everyone is important and rejected that some are more deserving than others?

Sorry SH, but I don't watch polls to tell me what I should be thinking. Watch which way the crowd is walking, then rush to the front and follow me is the Johnson method. He has no morals, is a proven liar, dumps people anong the way, and doesn't actually care much about you until you stop your membership fee.

Public Health England failed to follow up on a request in January to use the testing capabilities of the UK's animal health agency, which its staff say could carry out 40,000 tests a week. It was only on Monday, March 30, that the volunteers were informed that they would be contacted for training, with a view to being ready to work in the PHE and NHS labs by mid-April.
Just another mistake SH, or a far more deep seated problem at the heart of government?

Boris is a winner. The public are inspired by him, no doubt he will hit a sticky patch at some time, all PMs do. My membership fee was excellent value, to be able to choose Boris as party leader that subsequently secured the largest Tory majority since the thirties was outstanding.
Have you noticed you have an uncanny knack of always backing the loser? Is it bad luck or bad judgement?

Thankfully the lockdown stops you posting a quote from the mysterious ex Tory in the bread queue.

Perhaps you might like to get back to discussing some of the issues around the coronavirus? Just a thought.

My local BBC news this evening is ALL about the lack of PPE.
Schools are donating all their goggles to go surgeries.
The head of the BMA GPs is from Leeds and he was live expressing acute concern for GPs nationwide etc etc
They just had an ex health minister and go on national news saying the government gas dragged it feet way too long and how he cannot comprehend their policy.

No one us making this up.

Excellent, perfect post until the bit that isn’t in bold. <applause>
Of course its recipient is too obtuse to understand it, but it is all exquisite otherwise. <ok>

In the last election, 42% of the UK voted Conservative. A minority. And as for Brexshit, we did it despite only a minority wanting it.

You are in the minority, sh, you just can’t count. <doh>
