https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/s...lan-resume-season-closed-doors-start-MAY.html 'Matches would be staged with a skeleton broadcasting crew' - understandable but if ever there is a time to make a killing with pay-per-view this is it.
Could make for some rather lax marking if they all have to keep 2 metres apart. Gives us a distinct advantage when the Championship starts up though, as our back four have already mastered this technique. McCann ahead of the curve on this one?
I can’t see this happening.... we are still several weeks away from the peak plus the clubs have a duty of care towards the footballers, they are still employees, would be foolish to expose them to additional risk - unless they plan to test / screen every player / official / ball boy first??
I assume, if the games were played at the normal stadia, you would also need a police presence outside to maintain public order etc. Can't see that happening either.
They’d probably use the end of this season as “pre season” I’d have imagined. Give them two weeks holiday then back into it.
Did you look at the league table? 15 points clear with one match to play, not such a difficult decision.
They have a stupid split system like they do in Scotland, the season goes into a mini league and the top six duke it out for Europe, the title etc. It would have taken a massive effort, but it wasn't over.
Absolutely no chance of this happening .. it will take at least 6 months for us to start returning to anything like normality .. total pie in the sky
"It will be made official on 15 April with a working group to decide relegation and promotion issues." A working group? Maybe feasible with just the one game to play, but highly unlikely with still a third of the season to play here.
