If that amounts to an apology, accepted.

British Airways have furloughed all cabin crew on 80% of salary. No lay offs, no redundancies and they can even have their pension contributions diverted to salary for the period. BA will NOT ask the government for assistance. They have 8 billion in the bank apparently...

If any airlines, or any other mega-business, asks for a bail-out, I hope the government takes shares in them (i.e. partly or wholly nationalises them), as has happened on the railway. That way the taxpayer gets something for the money.

Can someone explain to me the logic.... someone is admitted to hospital with seeming symptoms of Covid which are severe enough to warrant hospitalisation and yet the Health secretary 'Tony' Hancock has taken it 'upon himself' to take the decision to test patients before NHS staff and he's proud that 5k have now been tested.!@!!!!!

They are testing the patients, they're prioritising them, that's why they've only tested 5,000 NHS staff.

Maybe you missed my point.... IF a patient shows clear signs massive breathing difficulties, fever, coughing, is it not safe to assume in the current circumstances that they have it and proceed accordingly.. meanwhile..

If you put someone on a coronavirus ward, when they've just got a bad cold, you'll probably just end up giving them coronavirus. Makes sense to me.

Unlike other airlines, BA pay very little commission on flights and want payment in full. It seems like they made the right decision!

So on the testing of NHS staff. My kids started presenting some symptoms including a cough and temperature a couple of days ago. They seem well enough and is most likely a cold. But it means I have to go on 14 day isolation. No way around it. Frustrating when you just want to do your job but the kids come first.

But, just had a call from a nurse practitioner and we've an appointment to get them tested tomorrow. Will know either way within 48 hours. Hopefully will get the all clear and I can get myself back in the game.

130,000 people who have been in a bad enough way to end up in hospital and get tested, haven’t had it.

Of course we could fill out every single hospital bed and make sure they got it, if it makes sense to you.

Thanks. You're obviously always massively concerned about your little ones but all the signs point to it being a bit of a cold. Want to know either way though.

Guess if they're wanting to get a ****ehawk like me back to work then staff testing is starting to pick up the pace.

£13 billion of Health Care Trust debt written off... When the is all over lets hope thats stimulus for a better operating NHS across the country. I'm sure the amount is small when divided though.

I don't really know the ins and outs of the economics of the NHS, but if it had amounted £13bn worth of debt, why has it taken a worldwide pandemic for the government to address this? I didn't even know the debt was that high.
