When all this is over you should wear the vest to work and just tell people you were caning the weights during lockdown.
I've got two dumbells and an eezee bar, not much plate weight though. I'll have to get my eldest doing some reps, he could do with beefing up a bit now he's getting older. Am definitely going to take the opportunity to put some miles in though. I can't stand running on tarmac, my knees and shins howl. The beach is good though, as long as its not too soft sand.
I tried wearing it under a hoodie for a dog walk and it looked more ridiculous than the stab vest vibe it gives off when on display.
I bought a treadmill a few years ago as my knees don't like tarmac and I got to the point where the only thing I enjoyed doing at the gym was running so it was more cost effective to have a treadmill in the garage.
Got a home gym room set up. Treadmill, power rack, Olympic bar, bench, pull ups/dip thing, few dumbells and a load of plates. Trying to use it daily but just find myself caining the skipping rope and bench. Going to look ridiculous after this, skinny as **** with the chest of peak Ronnie Coleman
eat loads and high protein and you will keep your muscle or more of it... ive just opted for a cut.. get lean[/QUOTE]
I love leg day normally. Probably only got about 100kg of plates though so not really sure how much damage I can do on them. Skipping seems to help as well, plus throw in 25 years or so of football and my legs are in pretty good nick
Been running every other day now since lockdown. Improving slowly, did three miles Wednesday, two mile last night. Not aiming for too much straightaway but want to get to a point of being bale to run comfortably for five miles, assuming I don't die of boredom in the process. I do a short 20-25 min run every other day so it';s not too tedious. Loads of surface changes last night, road to beach to grass to road, get shin cramps all the time, which is a proper ****er. I know @Stan runs on treadmill, anyone out there run on road and outdoors etc.? Any tips? Or is it a fact you are either suited to it, or you're just not!
I hate running, it’s dull as ****. Don’t mind the bike indoors but outdoor bikers are ****s. This means inevitably, one day I’ll be fat. FAT I’m gonna start going back climbing when we are allowed out.
Back climbing? As in, you used to do it before? I did that in my younger days, way too creaky and heavy to do it now. There's a couple of really good indoor facilities round here that my boys have used once or twice, brilliant for strength and flexibility. You should watch the film Free Solo. The bloke is clearly mental.
I used to run on the roads and in the woods but I’ve had a dodgy knee since I was a teenager. Got to the point (age) where it flared up too often after a road run so I only do treadmill running now. It’s boring but music gets me through it. I’d rather be bored than hobbling around.
