if you think I’m bad then check out the front page of the Sun today. They have an 8 page guide to the race!
Reebs has a good point in bringing up the Lottery. Similar thing really. At the end of the day, if the GN hadn't been cancelled everyone would have bet as normal and nothing would have gone to the NHS. So I suppose, if it makes people happy and the NHS at least get something, it has to be a good thing. Let's see how much gets donated. I'm sure the bookies will be under a lot of scrutiny
If one of the virtual Tiger Roll, Magic of Light or Potters Corner should land the odds, I shall be getting pixelated tonight
It doesn't matter how clever the IT dudes are they can't factor in things like : Clan Royal being taking out, Foinavon, the bomb scare race that never was. Still at least there'll be no deaths and the NHS will get some dosh.
Haha, can you imagine if they did try and do it all properly though. False start, interference in running, stewards at the end etc.. Be hilarious
Unfortunately it's ITV that are showing the race and they play everything safe with very cheesy presenters. So I fully expect a safely run virtual national with a couple of unseats and pulled ups and maybe one or two fallers. They could make it interesting with a pile up at the chair and a false start but I m guessing none of that will happen..
I am going to have a little dabble mainly as I'm bored ****less. Pleasant Company and Kimberlite Candy That we give me something to shout at other than the wife!
My fancies for the race were Burrows Saint and Jett so it'll be interesting to see what a computer program says about them
A proper race this See The World. I remember watching this live, amazing stuff. Unfortunately he never won again.
Tell you what would make my day? Some computer genius hacks the VR software and gets Tiger Roll shagging Pleasant Company
I had a quick look through the virtual racing sites on Bet365. Did you know Aintree Park offers about 30 virtual Grand Nationals a day. All 40 runner fields and they appear to go off every 5 minutes. Say what you like about computer generated horse racing but the horses are ****ing fast and the starter is clearly light years ahead of his human equivalent too. Sadly some poor sods must bet on this ****e otherwise they wouldn’t offer it.
A pal of mine spent 2 full days in the bookies with his old man when the virtual racing started off writing the numbers of the winners down so they could suss out the pattern of it.
We have a virtual Grand National today so why aren't we having virtual football matches? Bookies slipped up there
