And many feel they are over paid etc anyway so it was a chance for them to vent their spleen as people do at this type of situation. It's like when we go to war - it's "footballers and x celebs earn too much - money should go to real heroes"
Perhaps everyone should pay an earnings related CV tax.......To raise te money for our health and social care
Nope. Better redistribution of taxes already collected, a reigning in of tax avoidance schemes (e.g. Lewis Hamilton's lear jet registration), an increase in tax rates for the top 5% The lack of money isn't down to the Average Joe but to the elite squirreling it away.
Quite, but that's not the point. Why volunteer the Average Joe to shoulder the burden again. We need to rid ourselves of this mindset and those who perpetuate it. For the latter, longer-term (and going off topic for a moment), Sir Kier Starmer and Angela Rayner could well be a good step in that direction.
A sign teams will want to keep the season going? You'd think Burnley were one of the better run clubs too. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/footbal...ot-finish/?li_source=LI&li_medium=liftigniter
Lineker was on the radio the other day suggesting clubs should show some social responsibility but then he never looks at the Watford website....
The suggestion was that people should be asked to pay a coronavirus tax. Seeing as when this comes to an end the current government will still be there, it is quite in order to ask if they would implement such an idea. It was a question, not a statement.
Can we not descend into divisive and inflammatory posts again please.... It has been quiet and friendly with no troll activity for the last 24 hours I appeal to our mods to manage this.....
Some people can disagree on an issue yet have a sensible exchange of ideas, and some people.... can't.

Long turns Kabasele in the box and scores from near the penalty spot into the bottom left. Foster no chance. Watford 0 Southampton 1 (Long 13’)
