Things have not been good here. We have had several people coming on holiday and even Gordon Ramsey is in his 2nd home. The local press has been vitriolic. Cornwall Council have a specific web link to report any obvious holiday homes but still they come. Even on Saturday my mate told me he saw two new families booking in down his street. I reckon that we might see things turn ugly down here. There are signs up in places saying visitors **** off. You cant make it any plainer than that.
Just gone over county rd flyover past national and the traffic was backing up !! god I don’t want to go back to that ****
I’m dreading it. Not been to the office since February. Not driven since March. Not been in a shop since March. Been out of my home boundaries three times this month. When I decide to go back I‘ll have hols take to take, not jumping the gun & booking them now though!! WFH gets reviewed mid June, I‘ve a feeling It’ll be another 3 months at least. I’ll book them after that.
Hopefully never. I never realised just how **** working is when you can get paid to sit in your garden.
Listening to the health programme thingy on Radio 4 earlier, talking about people with agoraphobia actually doing 'okay' at the moment... Anyways they discussed the previous FOMO problem (Google it FFS), will now become FOGO (Fear of Going Out)!!!
After years of division over Brexit the country came together over the virus, all united to save the NHS, the elderly and vulnerable, lets all stay in. Now the country is split between those who won't go out without 100% safety and guarantees, and those who are saying I've had enough of this and are going back to their normal routine.
Those who won't go out without 100% safety and guarantees are never going to leave their houses again then.
I suspect that most fall between those two positions, they're happy to continue applying social distancing, washing hands and various other precautions, but want to see us moving towards some sort of resumption of normality.
