I think so Schad, as he moved to ICU during the day after the RIA post. We shouldn't let the truth get in the way of a good story though. The tories never have.
I agree, thats why I posted the source, and explained where I saw it. This is really horrible, it takes a lot to rattle me, but I feel gut punched by this news. I really hope hes okay and pulls through, ****ing hell. Hope everyone else out there is okay.
I hope he recovers and realises the PM's job is not for him. He can make a great contribution as a broadcaster, writer - these are his strengths. Vanity overtook him in seeking the top job.
At least Boris’s plight should be a wake up call to the nation. There is no one that this virus can’t reach! Our backs are against the wall........That’s usually the time we brits start fighting at our best!
A friend who works in IC says at his age etc he could be in trouble. I'm not his biggest fan but let's hope he pulls through.
I've just been reading around the web, and it seems that people in his demographic with covid admitted to ICU have roughly a 50% mortality rate. **** this horrible disease, really hope he pulls through and that he is able to help nip this crisis in the bud ASAP.
Same here mate.... I cant say I've ever felt like this before, except maybe on 9/11 when I saw the planes hit. I don't tend to let the news affect me. But I have a really bad feeling. My gut is telling me this sort of info doesn't get released to the public unless it's really bad
Wondering if we should set up a Not606 food Bank/help and support group on here for those who fall on hard times...
Media seem obsessed with plans for coming out of lockdown....quite right, their job is to ask questions on behalf of the public, but they are asking an unanswerable question. A lack of a clear answer should not be taken as a sign that no plans are being considered. Pretty sure that every eventuality is being considered, but there is a danger in the government making any statement at this time...can’t have people thinking something is set in stone and then being disappointed or angry if the situation changes.
Good luck mate. My son is in a similar position, as a self employed sub-contractor. The firm he subs for could probably have furloughed him, but apparently the company accountant advised them not to. He's struggling to get UC as well, because his online application hit a brick wall and he can't get through on the phone. The government have made all these commitments, but in many cases the apparatus isn't there yet to get the money where it's needed. Employers, mortgage lenders, landlords and assorted creditors who behave well in this crisis deserve to be rewarded in the future. Those which don't, deserve to be punished by their customers and clients. I'm looking at you, Tim Martin and Richard Branson...
