Just interesting to see how ppl are making their decisions or what they think of certain stocks or what's driving those stocks.
I’m considering a punt on something like EasyJet in the hope of quick gains. But I’ve hamstrung myself by starting with 6 stocks. Since we can only sell 3, it means if I was to sell two of the stocks I’ve got less in to be able to invest a decent amount in one new stock I’ve only got one trade left. So say I get rid of two defensive stocks for a high risk stock, make some quick returns and then need to sell out before it crashes again that’s all 3 trades done within a day or two. So the obvious thing to do is sit tight and take the risk later on. But the problem is I had expected we’d all be losing mostly and if everything now starts tanking then those with a decent cushion at the top of the table can go for defensive stocks and just drop slower. So if now is going to be potentially one of the only points across the two weeks when some proper rises happen then now is the time to take the punt.
Boredom and red wine are a bad combination. I’m so fed up of working from home and then being stuck at home the rest of the time as well. I need to find a hobby
See I thought the same but I've only got 5 stocks To expand, I've got a fck of a lot in Hikma, which held back my gains. But I know if I sell it I really should be splitting into 2 stocks as it's a heck of a lot to risk in one. But like you, that means 2 trades. So I think maybe I'll hold on, it's only Day 2 and Hikma may rise. I blame Tobes the batard
@Stan @Tobes if we have only 3 trades why can’t people liquidate all their holdings and lump them in to 1 stock or do we still have to have 4 separate stocks at the end
Yep exactly, which is why it's more interesting to look a bit more into what you're doing. It's like playing Fantasy League, you look at player prices and big names, but you also look at form, injuries, upcoming fixtures etc. Very similar imo.
That’s exactly what it is. And if you do it for real it’s like gambling when there’s no sport on. I think tomorrow could be a good day to be holding defensive stocks.
I'm going to ride my luck and stick with what i've i got, let's be honest here, I can't be any lower down the table whatever happens
