They are defering part of their salaries for the months of April, May and June i think. Means everyone at the club is safe. Well done
Because at times like this when people are scared, it gives the malevonent members of our society a new platform to intimidate. Just like those who cough in the faces of police. Sadly you have to question their mental state .
Absolutely first class Saints! Whatever the outcome of this football season, I am proud that my club is top of the league when it comes to doing the right thing.
Couldn't really have asked for more form the Saints at this time. Proud of the club I support. Saints
The club will win a lot of friends by doing this, and we will show the very best side of Premier League football to the whole world. Southampton have become the first Premier League club to announce their players will defer part of their salaries amid the coronavirus pandemic. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52228542
Not sure if Sainsburys sell jaw reconstruction kits, but they'd of been in need of one if had they done it in front of me.
Can anyone tell me how Footballers are apparently able to pay their taxes direct into the NHS pot as being spun at present. I would like to do that. The government decide what goes where. You might as well say without their taxes we wont be able to buy more guns and nuclear weapons, which doesn't spin quite so well really.
Turns out that the poor bugger was stabbed , but it was a Burglary ( Probably trying to nick his laptop ) . Still , a sad sign of the times that I believed it WAS because of the 5G thing .
We win that every year in my house. But this year it has ribbons on. Thank you Saints for making feel justified in loving my club again - which I haven't always done recently.
Here's a little extra about that story from the BBC: "There were 1,132 coronavirus-related breaches reported between Saturday and Tuesday, the force said. That included 494 house parties - some with DJs, fireworks and bouncy castles - and 166 street parties. One woman in Bury became the first person in Greater Manchester to be charged under the Coronavirus Act 2020 after police had to repeatedly shut down one of the parties." Incredible Mind you I wouldn't want to be living in the Northamptonshire Police area. https://www.expressandstar.com/news...-shopping-trolleys-as-lockdown-rules-flouted/
Reminds me of my mate, a self employed builder, used to say "when they stop spending my taxes on nuclear weapons, I'll start declaring everything".
