Open Range (2003) 8.7/10 Robert Duval, Kevin Costner, Annette Benning & Diego Luna. Super western, great script & cinematography.

Read the book of Ready Player One,liked it. And I love most of Spielberg's movies apart from one or two but RPO the movie is an unmitigated mess. imho Each to their own though.
Kingdom of Heaven, Ridley Scott film, lush cinematography, acting but historically bollocks. Still enjoyed it though.
Astral. Young man becomes fixated with astral projection in the hope he can find his dead mother. 7/10
I know they can't stick rigidly to the book but huge chunks were missing, parts more interesting than what was actually put in. The casting was woeful, mostly all very wooden and the effects are just lazy. Maybe if I had seen it without reading the book I would have liked it more but I doubt it, I think Spielberg is showing us the law of diminishing returns.
A good day to Die Hard John goes to Russia to meet his long lost son who turns out to be a CIA agent on the run from the baddies. Die Hard 4.0 going on now.
I preferred From Russia With Love. Similar story but far more edgy. Bond catches out the bad guy when he orders red wine with fish, which if anyone doesn't know is a fallacy anyway. But the baddy, namely a rather aggressive looking blonde Robert Shaw did not know this either way and outed himself anyway. What a ****... but a very fine actor. Anyway... you're watching them in reverse order?
